Well,Cr7 was going there as it seems that outside this forums he is still rated no 2 whether we like it or not .Marcelo?well he finished 4th with Alaba 5th so it seemed close .Modric is sort of fan favorite so don't mind it considering in 2014 there was probably more deserving players than Iniesta and he was still voted
The thing I can't get ,is that Ramos wasn't only voted but also was No 1 between defenders

Its simple, Ramos scores goals. People forget about the mistakes and fouls and remember him fondly because of the goals.
Pepe was better than Ramos in recent years but he wil be remembered as a psycho animal, same way busi remains a diving cheat, suarez a racist, biting quality striker and Ronaldo the only player very close to Messi.
Once people label you its very hard to get rid of it, especially in rather anonymous positions like cb/dm where you dont stand out unless you foul badly, make mistakes or score.

People tend to underrated brillant players sometimes, like Marchisio and Busquests.

As long as we keep on winning trophies, don't think our players will care too much about the individual awards.

Let's just hope we keep on winning, as that's the most important.

I mean I had a quy at church who hardly watched any football try to tell me in 2014 "Oh what a run by Bale to score that goal (The Copa del Rey final) they are blessed to have a player like him who stands out above the rest of the normal players". :facepalm::facepalm:
I told him bluntly there are not normal players on these 2 teams and what you saw of Bale was a highlights of the Copa del Rey on our national news ONLY because he is a British player and happened to score the winning goal by running past our injured player.

I'm compiling the names of all the idiots who didn't vote for messi as first and didn't put a countryman in his stead (the only understandable reason, people do this)
