it's not the healing of the bone that's the problem, it's mentally overcoming the injury.

look at eduardo, he's been rubbish since his injury. you can see him thinking, not going full-out. ditto cech. you can see his wheels turning now and he's not been the same. cisse was never as good after his injury either.

these types of injuries are as much (if not more) psychological than physical.

i agree i broke my femur when i was 15 (fractured) and came back in two months but played like a chicken for 6 months

Yeah, good point. He's only 21ish though <_<, Hopefully, he'll play normally by the time the WC starts....

Add cicinho to that list.

go hard or go home.

surely no players have had psychological damage from an injury like cicinho's.

Made his comeback from the injury yesterday, after only some three and a half months of recovery. Could be quite inspirational figure for Brazilians if picked for South Africa, though surely he won't be picked.

they don't have a LFB, the Brazilians!! why won't he be called!?

since we come to that, does Maxwell have any chance at all to be called up to South Africa?

Dunga just seems a bit too conservative to have an attacking LB or someone who wasn't yet really part of the team and is now coming back from such an injury. But then again, on Tuesday we'll be a bit wiser as we have the provisional squads.

I was there, absolutely fantastic comeback! Before he came on Depor were playing their usual slow, terrible first touch football that had made them go 11 games without a win. As soon as Felipe started to warm up Riazor woke up, and I never heard such an ovation when he came in. Once he did, he was instantly lively, made some of the best passes and was easily the fasted player in the side. So much so that it was his run down the left that made Riki gol possible. He really didn't look like he'd been away for 3 months, so fresh, he can go to SA for sure. If it wasn't for the fact that Depor have a player called Sergio, i'd get a Felipe shirt next week when they start selling them cheap.

not just with the injury but also his dream move!! he's one unlucky dude :( Hope he has some huge things written in his fate for future... how many would have to face a situation where the player even bought a new house to stay after living his dream!?

I'm happy that deal fell through, it was robbery of Depor, Barca and Madrid were taking advantage of the court decission for the Tristan fees. Atleast now Depor can agree a fair price for him.

I don't think you are right... there was the talk about exploitation after the deal fell through... moreover I don't remember if there was any interest from Madrid for him last summer!!
