Filipe Luis

They were linked with him the window before, I think Gio said something about Perez and Laporta having an agreement not to step on each others toes with transfer targets for last summer.

The price you were going to get him for did not in any way represent a fair deal for Depor, look what was paid for Caceras etc, and the huge sum for Dani - Felipe isn't as good, but not far off. This Summer will be different, Depor can now get the full value of his worth, or may not even have to sell if Guardado goes instead.

That transfer saga happened very early in the transfer season, so the price we offered was similar to reasonable one!! Remember Filipe won't be so disappointed, with his board, of the proceedings if we were not reasonable enough!! We over-paid for Caceres, but that didn't mean we needed to do that for Filipe as well!!

Well see how far you would get with the same bid now. Lendoiro wouldn't have to accept it now, and after the way the club and fans supported him, I doubt he would force the move either.

He's become a star now!! I think he'd stay there for 2-3 years more... after all his urgency for a move was to earn a call for world cup!!

** And finally he will come to us as a world-class full-back :p

Well I will have left Coruña by next season so he can go where he wants now provided he leaves the club with a much needed cash boost. :D

Hope not, if I ever see him before I go I am going to convince him to sign for Milan instead.

I would have said yes last season, but I think aside from Abidal, our full back options are almost too attacking. If Barca were to have Felipe on one side, and Alves on the other it could be magic going forward, but could be equally damaging defensively. And as there are no problems with going forward, I would be of the opinion of leaving it be.

Of course, he could then go to RM and haunt us.

V.H. 4 life
but hes better defensively than Maxwell.

Abidal, Felipe LB
Alves,Maxwell RB

No need for Ansaldi or Azpilicueta then.

More over with our new 4-2-4(assuming Ibra stays) would be better off with 2 attacking fullbacks providing the width from both the sides

Anxiously waiting for the next match
but hes better defensively than Maxwell.

Abidal, Felipe LB
Alves,Maxwell RB

No need for Ansaldi or Azpilicueta then.

This may be a good idea... plus maxwell can fill in pretty much any where as needed hmmm..

Maxwell is left footed, he wouldn't be nearly as good at RB as he is LB. I think the second half of the season, especially the last few months he proved he should be our starting LB. His defense was really good too, and his offense (when Pep allowed him to go up) was always world class.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
What the hell? Maxwell defended well at the end of the season? Did you see the match against Inter?

Anyway, I would hate to see Filipe Luis playing for Los Blancos!
