How many years does he have left of his contract will Atletico? That should tell you if Chelsea can buy him for that (pretty low) sum or not IMO. If it's 2 or less I can see a deal being made. If it's more than 2 Atletico should be wise and ask for more cash.

God knows Chelsea has plenty of cash to spare.

Well Shaw has gone to United so one option is already gone. Chelsea will probably pay the release clause eventually, both teams are just playing hardball. With Luis supposedly rejecting contract talks, I can't imagine he'd have a lot of time on his deal left, maybe 2016 at most? I just read another option for us is Rojo.
