I can't seem to understand how on friggin' earth does Depor want over 15mill for him. Chelsea sigend Zhirkov for £18mill for christ's sake.

So now the media's attention (and ours of course) seems to have switched to Andre Santos another Brazilian left back who plays for Corinthians. You can't go wrong with Brazilian full-backs!

It's unfortunate for Felipe Luis, because by the sounds of it, he really wanted to join us. And of course on top of that, he has experience playing in La Liga.

It's the fact that he won't even be the first choice initially that we're so reluctant to go into double figures. If we were signing him as a first choice, then anywhere up to 15ME would be understandable.

Andre Santos is reportedly being valued at around half the 12ME Depor want for Felipe Luis and for a Brazilian international, that seems good to me.

He was playing in the Confed. Cup, yeah? It is unfortunate for Filipe, he had his heart set on a move to Barça. Oh well.

Hez not a Barca fan unlike Zhirkov, Arshavin, Podolski etc...Hez said he just wants to join a big club & stay in La liga tht wud increase his chances of making it to his national squad. So, its no surprise he wants to grab this opportunity. He wud 've also dne the same if it was madrid instead. And, im not too excited abt such players.

Ok, let's put it this way - we need a preferably decent LB that would be both good in going forward while not forgetting his defensive duties. We (Barça) have 11 days before the pre-season kick-off. How many good LB's are out there at the moment fitting into Pep's needs?

I didnt like him at the confederation cup. Even Alves did a better job on the left. Come on Laporta, pay up those 15 and get it over with.

what?!

alves was fairly poor on the left. he didn't really know what to do and didn't attack players as well as andre santos did. he scored a beautiful free-kick, but his general play wasn't as effective. the only reason dunga replaced santos is because he loves everyone else in the team so didn't wanna take his favourites off.

santos will be good for us. he's shown some great promise with attacking runs, but defensive solidity may be an issue. although that said brazil didn't concede any goals down his flank did they?
