Must say, reading your comments and watching some of Depor on the internet is very reassuring :D I hope he does very well for us. "Fililpe Luis" is also one of the bitchingest names to appear on the back of a Barca shirt. Also, Depor have (officially) signed Brayam Angulo on a 1 year loan, a LB, so that's a clear sign he's coming.

And we are now after Filipe...Hardly anyone outside of France or didn't show a huge amount of attention to Ligue 1 knew who Evra was before he went to Utd, and most wouldn't of predicted he'd turn out world class. Simple as that.

Reputation plays too much of a part in peoples views of players I feel. Zhirkov is more known so peple assume he is better automatically. They'll put Filipe off because they haven't seen him. For me not being called up by Dumbasss Dunga isn't a terrible thing as Alves struggles often for games there aswell, and we all know how good he is. Sometimes the best players are the ones people have little to no real clue about. They then turn into world beaters. Read Evra, Ireland, Diego Milito and more...

All true, I'm not arguing, this was just my uneducated opinion (but I did admit it was uneducated). Posted in the other thread, I read it through and am researching some depor stuff and I feel more at ease now.

Deportivo La Coruña president Augusto César Lendoiro has said at a press conference that his club has rejected an 8 million euro bid by Barcelona for Deportivo left back Filipe Luis. Fuck...off.

He wants to play for us, we want to get him, I think it'll happen. They can't hold out for too much. If they do maybe we'll get Zhirkov instead?

We stand firmly at €9 million... but Lendorio is notorious as being a very tough negotiator... so I'd say the most reasonable price would be around €12 million.

I agree that €12 million should be the ceiling. But even at €15 million (which they are demanding) he wouldn't be that expensive. With Cehlski in pole position to sign Zhirkov for £18m, Felipe looks a lot cheaper by comparison to provide the same services, not to mention that he's 4 years younger and is a much taller player; a rarity among our players. So I think we should sign him.

Any latest info on felipe's deal. Heard our club will table a direct 9 million cash deal in depor's table

Last I heard, Barça have offered €9M. Filipe's agent said that if Depor didn't accept our offer yesterday, negotiations will break down completely. I haven't heard anything else so I think the deal is off.

i hope we get him he will push abidal either to play better or out of the way.. its always nice to get another south american in the squad
