I don't want him pushing it, but maybe the purpose of leading the team and the buzz of the supporters will give him more strength and positivity, and aid his recovery.

Tito Vilanova was was the focus of attention during this afternoon’s training session. The manager, who underwent surgery on December 20 and was released from hospital on the 22nd, led the team’s second training session of the year. This morning, Vilanova stopped by the Ciutat Esportiva to meet with the Catalan players ahead of this afternoon’s Catalonia vs Nigeria match.

Cesc and Song train with the group

This afternoon’s session featured all first-team players that were not named to Catalonia’s national team, plus Cesc and Song, both of whom are recovering from injury. Only Messi and Adriano, who missed a connecting flight back to Barcelona, trained after the group training session.

Two sessions on Thursday

The first team will train twice on Thursday, the first session will start at 11.00. Víctor Valdés, who will miss this afternoon’s Catalonia-Nigeria match due to injury, will hold a press conference after the session.

Still has to start with chemotherapy, don't get too excited. But luckily the surgery went well, which is a first good step in the right direction :)

Deserves alot of credit for how he has been able to fit in Iniesta and Cesc into the starting line-up without resorting to 3-4-3. One of the reasons he's been able to do this is Alba.

True, Alba has been a great buy and totally fits the squad as well as our tactics. Can't think of any other left back we could have bought that would have fitted the team better than Alba.

Tito will be off to New York to see a specialist and won't be on the bench in Copa match vs. Cordoba on Thursday.

No trophies means it will ultimately mean very little...Pep didn't just set the bar high, he made it insurmountable
