Franck Kessie

I don't know why but he's been lacklustre this season. Last season I watched some Milan games and he looked good in all of them.

Franck Kessie is a physical player, and we badly need one in our midfield because Busy is too old, slow and soft. He is just 25 y.o. and I think Xavi knows how to use him in our system.

He is to slow.

Pjanic on steroids.

People think of him as some beefed up Casemiro or something. The guy is slow, poor on the ball(for Barca standards) and not the physical powerhouse that some think he is.

I also see this perennial excuse about him being free and not that much of a gamble. Yes, but we had free players, players on which we didn't lose anything or players on which we made a profit in the past. But all those players didn't get us anywhere sporting wise. In fact that type of recruitment has gotten us where we at right now.

It's easier to just brush away this kind of signings when you have a world class midfield - see Alex Song. Harder to accept when we need signings to bring something extra, to lift the squad.

Franck Kessi? was exclusively Xavi's request. Some people within the club believe his signing was unnecessary, and that his salary is too high considering the financial situation.

@moillorens

Probably the same people who think Busi is irrepleacable.

I'll be happy he plays up to Alex Song's arsenal level

That's like saying you'd be happy if he plays at Kante's level in Leicester's title win season.

Alex Song was a nobody at Barca.

Kessie is not great in a mediocre Milan side.

I remember one good pass from Song when he gave the assist for Messi's second goal against Getafe in 2014 after messi's two months injury. What a pass it was.

Song at Arsenal had one good season where they let him off the leash and he was alowed to run wild as box to box and other players would cover him.

Barca then bought him and thought he could be DM/CB cover.

Ridiculous transfer.

From what I've read he's been pretty bad this season. Might only be here for one year if his form continues here.

Song was a great interlude from what we come to expect from the Rossell/Bartomeu era. Chased Thiago Silva for 2 months then bought Song and called it a day.
