I'm still not buying that unbeatable crap.

Neither are we Bayern fans. Well, most of us anyway.

As for his comments, there is truth in what he is saying but I would have preferred him just staying quiet about it. No point in speaking about it once it's done and it's making him look like a sore loser.

But we were never "unbeatable", unlike his team. :tata1:

He didn't said that, though.. Also last year in January Pique was saying that this Barca team is better than the one that won the CL in 2009..not to mention what Xavi said after Bayern eliminated us or how he speaks about Mourinho every time. Most of the footballers say stupid things..and even though I don't like Ribery and he did cried a lot in the press before and after the BdO was given, the way FIFA extended the voting period was embarrassing and it wasn't done before and I doubt that it happend ever again. So this time Ribery has every right to complain.

Did he ? I thought Piqué continually says that the 2009 team was the best ever.

Ribéry is pretty stupid to be honest. He contradicts himself all the time. Good attitude on the pitch though

Regardless of who deserved it more, the reason Ronaldo won was politics. The deadline extension and the way FIFA dealed with the hole thing was"politically" motivated. Ribery is right about that, and I must say I like that he's voicing it.

About that "who achieved this before" bit, I think he just said that to underline his dig at Ronaldo. I don't really mind.

I was not referring to Ribery. Hoeneß recently made the comment that "it wouldn't be so arrogant to say Bayern is unbeatable..", something like that, which Ryu confirmed.

No. He said that it would be arrogant to say Bayern were unbeatable now, but by right it is fair to call Bayern the best team in the world right now. ;)

What made his comment indeed pretty arrogant was his remark concerning Barca and their claim to be more than a club. I'm not sure whether it was intentionally directed at Barca to mock them, but without any linking words or anything, he immediately followed the remark by "Bayern München are much more than a club".
Not sure how much emphasis he put on the "much" ;)

What? I thought your original translation was also confirming his point about Bayern being "unbeatable"? So lol purposedly mistranslated his words?

Unless I was drunk or had a brain fart, both things I'm pretty sure I wasn't or didn't have, I wrote something pretty similar to the above. ;)

For your convenience:
FC Barcelona say "Mes que un club", which means: "More than just a club". FC Bayern are much more than a club. I argue quite rightly: FC Bayern right in this moment are the best club in the world!

One cannot be as arrogant and say, we're unbeatable. But we are well-positioned. With Pep Guardiola we've made a decision for the century. We have many years of fun ahead of us.

Més que un club doesn't mean we're the best club, it means we are involved in non-football matters and our members or fans have a special connection to the club which goes beyond supporting Barça as a football club.

Thanks. So what exactly did he mean by Bayern is much more than a club? A conglomerate?

I'm pretty sure all the persons involved in this matter or discussing it here, are quite aware of that.

btw, maybe you want to do a little research on your club's history for a bit. More than just a club is actually referring to something completely different than said "special connection" to the fans you proclaim ;)
