He outperformed a kid playing LW, bravo. Not to mention Gavi was generally better in the big games (today, Real,?).

Nah he has been far better than Gavi this season when both in midfield.

Try again.

Alonso CB though eh.. 'dont worry Rashford wont get on his strong foot'.

Bravo!

On average considering he starter the season slowly & was rightfully on the bench, he's not been any better than gavi this season.

About the same actually, if anyone edges it, it's not by much.

His recent run of form is shading people's memories, he was Pretty meh to start the season, but credit to him for fighting his way back.

Alonso had a pretty neutral game all things considered.

Anyway, again far too much negativity for a pretty good game from the team and Xavi. Sometimes the other team deserves credit as well.

Alonso was targetted and they scored from it and Rashford blazed past him another time.

Keep thinking you were right and nothing wrong with him at CB.

Oh dear. Alonso was alright for a very limited player. Not the reason we drew today, that?s all I said.

No he wasnt.

He was skinned as predicted and targetted.

Keep happy clapping.

'Not the reason we drew'

Jesus wept.

What was the reason then if not chosing best players and not like of Alonso who was exposed defensively?

Disagree.

Lets see.

If he starts judging FDJ differently from rest then more fool him.

Been far better than likes of Busi and Gavi this season.

Gavi brings some bite to the midfield. Presses, wins balls, aggressive in challenges, and has good workrate.

Adds a different dimension to the midfield than De Jong can. Gavi has had games where he is useless, but he also is younger with more potential to grow.

FDJ just seems like he is a good fit in a double pivot, but don't see Xavi going to that.

Frenkie, Kounde and Lewy losing balls left and right fucked us. Not Alonso, who scored one and got skinned once or twice (in a move that was difficult to defend from any defender).

Frenkie gave away ball a couple times on front of defence.

Alonso was targetted defensively as was obvious they would.

Clear as day Rashford would skin him on right peg and look for it.

The defensive set up was a disaster.

You're welcome
Just saw post-match interview of Weghorst and Frenkie. Apparently Ten Hag instructed Weghorst to play on 10 position and help disrupt Barca midfield.

Frenkie in his interview laughed and confirmed Weghorst did a good job at it.
