There are plenty that should go before him but as said can quite believe Xavi/Barca would think Pedri/Gavi are the future as a pair.

Same old bias.

They are much younger. That's the most of it. And the possibility of De Jong bringing much more money from a sale obviously.

Easy decision he's in his prime, should be close to rodri in terms of quality and maybe titles and isn't any where close in either.

Should sell get the money and he moves on to some where else, where he can become the player he wants to be, because even he himself knows he's not that player yet.

Worst reason possible.. sell him as not as good as Rodri.

He is better than any other midfielder at club.

No player ever claims they are the finished article. That part is irrelevant.... Maybe CR7.

The reason he would go is by how highly rated he is and would get a good fee.. while Barca think Pedri/Gavi is a midfield of the future.

Sellling a player as not Rodri while keeping others that would barely be top 20 mid in EPl and not in top 10 La Liga mids is not a realistic reason.

Its telling that 'hes not Rodri' is about only argument left.

'Not enough title' is not on him when Messi couldnt win either in last couple seasons and he was one of if not most important player in the 'most important' title in last 20 years or whatever that claim was.

Lets keep shite like Kounde as has 1 title in 1 year...or Raphinha.. or Lewa..

Getting outplayed by third division players now.

The season would look much different if XAVI got his wish and got rid of FDJ and brough in BERNARDO SILVA.

Are you Dutch? Because here in Holland many are backing him up in the way that everyone is always guilty except Frenkie. If he plays bad it’s always someone else his fault.

I don’t think he’s the best midfielder of Barca either. A fit Pedri has more to offer. Also against Real he was way threatening than Frenkie. Even Gundogan had more direct involvement that match and they played as a double pivot so he cant be blamed of playing more attacking.

In order for Frenkie to be elite midfielder he needs more to be the reason why Barca plays good. De Bruyne, Modric or Bellingham are the reason why their teams are great. When things go bad they give that extra class so that the others feel secure again or put in a position to play good. If you have to find a excuse for a player to perform that means he’s not the reason. Frenkie needs everything to be settled perfect to act worldclass. He’s also the reason why they play more double pivot now instead of with a 6 and 2 cm’s. As a lonely pivot he’s defensively not stable enough. As 1 of the 2 attacking cm’s he also dont deliver enough attacking threat. Although i still think as the more box to box of those 2 cm’s with the other one closer to the striker he was at his best. From now on there dont need to be more excuses. He needs to deliver every game until end of the season. With or without the best around him. Then i still see him going to a elite midfielder. Otherwise it will take another year and he will be older again

A fit Pedri is definitely better. This season and the last one he struggles with injuries but overall he has more talent than Frenkie. When they were both playing together before that he often was better and i think he will be again. His solutions in tight areas are world class and he has different ways to fullfill them. So many beautiful options to make the play. Very versatile in his skills. In which parts except defending you think Frenkie is better?

- more pressing resistant

- better vision

- faster with and without ball

In which aspects is pedri better according to you? :thinking:

This guy gets it.

De Jong is the world class CM that can only. Perform when things are setup Perfectly for him, who his team can rarely look to in a time of need for some leadership and extra class in though times.

All his best games for us came at a point where you can probably list the entire XI having a great game.

Rarely is it a situation where the team is poor to average and he drags us up, like a real World class player.

Gerrard was playing for a poor Liverpool team most of his career and still looked class and had an impact most games.

Truly Top class players shine in any circumstances and explode in the right one.


He's a talented player at 27 entering his prime he should definitely be the best or close to it the talented is their, but all this best in the world, top 3 talk from his fan base is a joke.

Gotta prove it out there on the grass.
