His fabulousnes has caused Barca to stagnate and become irrelevant in Eurocups. Isolated skills that he still has, doesn't compensate his utter defensive impotence and general slowness, that drags everybody to his pace. Can still work for laliga, but not against top draw.
It's ridiculous that Dejong "is not real DM", while Biskuits hasn't been one for decade.

Its strange that its only a few uneducated, keyboard warriors who continue to slag off one of our legends ..

Every manager and knowledgeable pundit still hold him in high regard and wax lyrical about his fabulous link up play and fabulous touches ...

You can't use the manager argument for Busi but discard it for Rakitic.

The fool Zidane82 calling others uneducated, but at the same time wonders why Barca doesn't offer Dembele in exchange for Lewandowski.

Why don't you go and talk shit about Raki and Sterling, guys who every manager loved and played almost every game.

Sterling has a Dembele esque streak in his game where he can miss absolutely piss easy chances comically and can be clumsy at times which leads many people to underestimate him. He wouldn't start as many games as he has for Pep if he was technically poor. City had all the money to get rid abd replace him if Pep wanted.

Think Zidane82 likes Techy players who look very elegant on the ball hence Sterling with his unorthodox T rex running style and laughable misses rubs him the wrong way.

Rakitic was absolutely quality for me. Loved him as a player. Think he's somewhat forgotten and underrated for his contributions for Barca and Croatia.

Yeah, you can tell these guys don't watch City. Sterling looks like he has a huge mental block in front of goal, but he is not technically poor. Very confident in tight spaces and a menacing dribbler. The lad scored about 25~ goals a season for 3 seasons in a row from 2017 to 2020. Even in his "shit season" he still scores 6x as much as Dembele does. The comparisons to Dembele are honestly an insult.

People will say "he only scores tons of goals for City because City creates tons of chances", but none of the other winger (Foden, Sane back when he was there, Mahrez, Jesus) options score as much as Sterling does and has for the past 5 years.

Also another underrated aspect of Sterling's play is his intelligent movement in and around the box, it's the very reason he gets so much easy chances to finish; because he knows how to anticipate. If it was that easy then every other winger/forward at City would be as prolific as Sterling, but turns out they aren't.

Sterling does have many qualities but his finishing is dire ... the vast majority of his goals are one yard tap-ins .

As regards his control ... he is a very fast and tricky on the ball but his actual control is very poor .

Many times when hes been out on the right wing and the ball is fired across to him he has not the confidence to kill it dead like Mahrez does .
Sterling lets it bounce once and kinda cushions it with his shins or thighs .

Frenkie de Jong refuses to leave Barcelona
@La_SER

Sport reported earlier that United and us were close to a deal but it was written by Luis Miguelsanz, who despite having some sort of Senior role over there has no credibility whatsoever. Heck Messigcian and his troll posts are more credible than he is.

On the other hand,
Mike Verweij, the most reliable journalist in Dutch football, and one of the top5 in reliability in Europe,
wrote some days ago that no serious club bids formally for a player (as UtD has already done for Frenkie) if they haven't talked to the player beforehand...

Ten Haag has talked to Frenkie, he is desperate to get him.
Frenkie understands that at Barca he will never top his game, and will never become the star of the team
Barca want money and Xavi other players (Bernardo) more than Frenkie.

If Utd pays up what he is due (at least 85m fixed), this will happen...

2 of the worst run big clubs, United and Barca, discussing and agreeing on a transfer for a player whilst he has no intention of leaving really wouldn't surprise me.

I am tired of this players not wanting to leave.

De Jong is shit player compared to B.Silva.

He had 3 years to establish himself.

I am not saying he busi should start but he was not impressive at all.

Especially on big games.
