I hate their ridiculous presentations and really hate those small European cup trophies being described as the Champions league..................

I don't think it's beyond all realms of possibility that United have bid 80m+ for bale considering the new TV deal and our spending for last few seasons has been around 50m mark..and We can afford to make payment up front which Real cant but it would mean no new midfield signings and no bid for Ronaldo next season.................I think United were interested but then saw how much Real were offering and backed out like a couple of weeks ago, unless the deal is 40mil + Rooney don't see us involved, or maybe Chelsea bided 40mil for Rooney and we've bided 80mil or 60mil +young or nani. I think its PSG they haven't started convincingly, or maybe City after yesterdays embarrassment, would be typical of them.

I think Glazers have lot more to lose than gain by being stingy, two seasons outside top 4 would mean united will lose 50% of their value in NYSEI seriously doubt we would bid 80mil even if we get 40mil for Rooney, I think without Gill and Fergie we have become very stingy.

Even finishing 3rd will mean less payement from UEFA and less commercial opportunities and without RVP our starting XI is not much better than Liverpool's or Tottenham's starting XI...Doubt we'd finish below 3rd, until tis team dies out.
RM is all about business, football is secondary.

I'm just trying to make a case that not spending now is a big risk and worse case scenario would be a disaster for Glazers....I think we have decent chance of winning the title but if we can get a couple of good midfielders we can have a good run in the Champions League...and I cant remember the last time De Gea had a bad game so, I wouldn't really call him a liability.....You sound very pessimistic, Liverpool and Spurs don't have a back 4 like ours, and De Gea whilst a liability is also a match winner with his saves, plus without RVP we won the league and lost it by goal difference and 2 points the season before.

Whatever value you produce is consumed by far less consumers compared to football fans who watch the match......If people paid to watch Engineers make their design on live television we'd be talking about how new engineering firm is willing to pay 100m to get gaudi to join them........
The club is very happy with it , it's a lot more publicity for Bale ... Marca reporting that we took the TV rights for the Charity match vs Depor on Thursday which will probably witness his first debut and we are waiting to sell the rights after we finish the signing
basic marketing rule : there is no bad publicity
