There's always this undertone in such comments and posts. Don't get me wrong, your comments on this forum are among the better ones, however, it is always so funny, when Madrid was so desperate over Barca's super success, and only thought about winning, first against Barca, and than putting an end to Barca's hegemonia. You brought in Mou, lost first yea, won the Liga second year, lost again last year. Already last year, when you recognized that the Liga was gone, the narrative was changed to "we were always a CL team, we want the decima". This year again... It just sounds kinda fake these things, why would't you care about La Liga, when actually you tried almost everything to overcome Barca, until understanding that this is not possible for the time being?

If you refer back to any year and any post of any Madridista or an old cule in the forums (here or the previous ones ) he will tell you nothing has changed ...
Hammy knows us from previous forums .. we are talking about something like 7-8 years ago and he will tell you that this "TONE" didn't change
We don't say "We are always a CL team " but it's a very common knowledge that all we do we do it for the 10th ...you have to understand for Madridista the CL is an obsession that surpass any other trophy .. if you think for a minute that we spent all that money for the league or to just topple you , you are wrong
It's always been always will be the CL , it's becoming a bad thing as well as it puts on so much pressure on the players and the fans expectations
If you go to the posts before we dropped point in pre-season and check what we were saying it's the same thing you are reading here... CL CL CL ... the Decima is becoming a sickness that we can't heal from
All the managers criteria , all the players , all the money is for it and will continue to do so until it is acquired

You don't understand. It has a super bad aftertaste, especially when Pellegrini and Schuster and the likes were sacked because there wasn't any chance to stop Barca. You brought in Mou not because of the decima, but because you had the feeling he was a guarantee to win trophies, especially against Barca.

I understand the decima might be the greatest thing for you, but please, from thr capital, it never sounded so the last couple of years.

I don't refer to any old posts of other. I remember your posts last year, when you lost the Liga in thr first weeks, the CL narrative came up, although first it was "get everything you can". Don't kill me if I can't recall everything word by word, I am talking about a general impression here.

All I know is, that Madrid was rather obsessed with Barca (with Mou even more so) than with the decima.

Is he? I've heard different numbers, so I wasn't sure. If so, my bad. I'm still wondering about Ronaldo though, from what he said on Bale ("I have my opinion, but won't go public with it") it seemed like he didn't approve at all.

:lol: Yes, when they'll sign Walcott for 120m ( who btw, has better stats than Gareth Pukale in the past 4-5 season = goal and assists per minutes played ) and Koscielny for 40 + Varane and Nacho Monreal for Coentrao + 25.
