I wonder if United is still hell bent on wanting to buy him for 100million? I'm not a big united fan but I feel like they can find cheaper alternatives that are much better on the Technical side of things. with United playing a more Possession style system I doubt bale would even work in that system as he struggles a lot in tight spaces. Reading the Redcafe forums some united fans are split on the issue as they need a good player that can break down buses and believe Bale might be the answer. and the other half agree they need a good player to help break down Defensive teams like Chelsea,West Brom etc but don't believe Bale is the right Guy to help as he struggled quite a bit so far at Real. Frankly United should use that 100 million and invest it in the Midfield and attack (Cheaper Alternative Wingers that fit Gaal's system) and obviously work on their back line more as they need a new RB and a good CB.

How many times did he received the ball? I mean he was shit, but when all the balls are flying towards Ronaldo or when Isco and Marcel are playing 1-2 all the time, how is he supposed to bring anything to the game? His confidence is fucked up.
Put him in Ronaldo's place and it will be different. Or even better, get the fuck out of that gypsy club.

Please, listen to him Bale. It's hard to pass to him when he can't cut free from his marker. He could just come up to the middle to receive the ball. Having 0 chances created in 86 minutes when you're playing up-top is just a disaster.

Two things about Bale that are huge misconceptions.

People go on about how fast he is and whatnot, but he's not that fast over the first few yards and he has a really slow turning circle, which coupled with his lack of close control and technique, that's a recipe for disaster.

And he does absolutely nothing defensively other than jogging back to defend corners. Pressing, tackling, positioning, all non existent.

He is lucky he's in a Real Madrid side that are replete with talent to the point they can carry a passenger and not suffer much.

And it's an insult people keep bringing Ronaldo as an excuse to Bale's atrociousness. Ronaldo was out injured for 2 months, those very two months coincided to Real's decline and Bale accounting for zero goals and zero assists in 9 games. Not to mention how overall poor he was on those games.

Bale is piggybacking on Ronaldo. It's a symbiotic relationship where Ronaldo is the lion and Gareth the nagging, inadequate parasite.

All right Thomas Hardy, he's not that bad.

He should be embarrassed by his performance.

No British commentators ever criticise him but at least Roy Keane said that Real were playing with 10 men because of him.

It's funny how in their first years, everyone was so keen to do comparisons between Bale and Neymar, particularly towards the end of the season when Neymar faded (along with the rest of the team) and Bale scored some crucial goals... but this year you barely hear anything comparing the two of them, as Neymar has had an amazing season whereas Bale has slowly slid into complete mediocrity.

That was a huge coup, winning the signing of Neymar against Madrid, made many times sweeter by the fact that they panic bought this donkey as a result.
