I don't think anybody on this forum is 'blaming' him, most of us are happy he sucks. But honestly, 100M? 100M for him? Ronaldo was 10 times the player in United, Bale had some long range goals and some kick and runs past 2-3 players - displays that don't even closely get him anywhere near 50M. His passing is wack, he can't really dribble only kick and run, no vision, no football intelligence, not really a poacher etc.

What I find remarkable is that last summer, while everyone was in Brazil vying for the Cup, Bale trained and trained in preparation for this season. He was looking great, in fantastic shape, and I remember thinking: "Oh no, he'll be even better this year."

Glad I was wrong. But I do wonder what happened. Oh well! Suits us. I actually feel better when he's in Real's lineup--it almost a guarantee that they'll be playing a man down. So to speak.

He can train all he wants, he does not have the technique of a top player. And that's the bottom line. And his last season was overrated. Real Madrid were indeed great, Bale not so much.

You don't have to have Messi's technique to be a top player.

What is undeniable is that Bale's current performance is far from what he's capable of.

As miserable as his attempts were, at least he tried to create/do something. No one else in the attack seemed to be interested. Still, time to return to PL i think.

I think Bale is just a hug away from finding decent form, Real will still get a decent fee probably as City/Chelsea/United will probably want to buy him just so no one else get him causing a bidding war. Real will then go for someone like Reus/Hazard and improve themselves.

There are plenty of ~£30 million players who are younger, faster, and/or better technically than this guy. He was never worth any more than that really. Madrid got on that Emperor's New Clothes fever because a clueless manager like Redknapp said it would take something crazy like "80 million quid" to buy him from Tottenham.

A statement that most reacted with laughter of course. Until it actually came true.

I'd say he is worth about 40-50 million, he was very good last season imo. I don't think he can handle scrutiny at R.Madrid nor as Balague said "being a big player in a small role". More importantly, his hair needs to be cut.

Oh, boy the local Spanish media, especially the pro-RM one based in Madrid, will lynch him in the upcoming days.

Such a one-dimensional and overrated footballer. To think that he is the most expensive footballer ever is laughable.
He should move back to the "mighty" EPL to save himself from further embarrassment.

Some rumors going around that Uncle Flo finally decided that project Bale has failed. He can no longer endure the pressure from the fans and probably some players that want him gone. Bale is a madridista but he is unhappy at the reception he is getting and his gf and child are in the UK. Manchester United is the most likely suitor and Van Gaal wants him for his preferred 4-3-3.
