He's arguably been your best forward this year though.

Sure, Bale's probably Real Madrid's best forward of this season.

But I think it says more about the underperformances from his teammates rather than Bale has actually become much better.

Benzema has performed at his usual level, he has been our best forward, not Bale.

British aren't made for spanish or italian football. They can only play in english league. Beckham,Owen,Woodgate and even Bale weren't 50% players in La Liga as they were in Premier League. I think Bale should go back to PL.

RM as a whole have struggled against top teams this season, but Bale's play should be noted as last year he would fade even against the "lesser" teams in La Liga. He is definitely showing to some degree that if Perez wants to clean some of the starting XI this summer, he is probably worth keeping.

The only English players that Spanish or Italian teams can afford are either ones to go to clubs like Real Madrid where they can't be the main man, or ones who's careers have already stalled in England. Everyone loves to say that English players can't play abroad, but the truth is that no one really knows because it barely ever happens. The wages in England make it pointless for most players to move.

Bale is the only british I know that have join any of La Liga giants from the island in recently.. Last british players were Owen and Woodgate in Real Madrid, Beckham before that but that was like 10 years ago when they didn't have such big wages like nowdays when every decent player is payed a few million a year.. Though Bale played good today, scored a hattrick..

His second goal was good, great precision in that finish.
