Gareth Bale

I really don't agree with these posts claiming that selling Cronaldo and buying X will improve RM. Ronaldo, no matter how despicable he is, is one of a kind. I don't believe for one second that anyone but Messi could surpass what he he's been doing over the past seasons with los merengues. Bale is nowhere near as good as him, and most likely won't ever be. Sure, Falcao is a brilliant striker, but not THAT much better than what Real already have at their disposal.
The way I see it, RM will be seriously hurt whenever Cronaldo decides to call it quits; replacing the worlds second best footballer just doesn't go unpunished.

^ Falcao and Bale won't be able to provide 182 goals in 179 matches. Astonishing feat, and as you say only Messi can surpass that.

Bale is too one-dimensional, I mean I thought Robben and Di Maria were too dependent on their left foot but Bale takes it to extreme levels. He might surprise Liga defenses with his pace but they'll easily adapt to him. Don't want him, I'd rather we go for Mata or Reus.

Ronaldo + Benzema/Higuain >>> Bale + Falcao....it's not even close. The problem with a few Barca fans is that they judge Ronaldo based on Barca philosophies, completely disregarding that his style of play is entirely different and suited to a different team dynamic. One of my Barca friends was trying to convince me that Iniesta is a better winger than Ronaldo because he assists more, because he is so adept at keeping possession through fancy dribbles and tiki-taka and because he has higher defensive contributions, all of which are relevant to Barca's play-style but not Real Madrid.

I think that I would take Bale over Ronaldo as Madrid, not because he's better or anything like that but because he's five years younger, has tons of time left to play and is already looking quite dangerous. Ronaldo is about to enter the twilight of his career, and as he relies a lot on pace he will dim out in the near future (probably).

Key word probably. Which is highly doubtful considering his fitness.

I wouldn't swap him with Bale if he was 32, let alone 28.

The Messiah
Nah, He'll lose a yard or two of pace for sure. That comes naturally with age, it's got little to do with fitness. Of course, being fit will slow the process.

Anyway, a Ronaldo slower by a yard will still be wayyy better than a Bale.

Ronaldos biggest assets is his ability to use both feet IMO. Bale doesn't have that, amazing player nonetheless but we shouldn't write off ronaldo with no pace, he could still be very effective, time will tell.

Points won from Walcott's goals - 2 points
Points won from Bale's goals - 16 points

It's fine scoring vs crappy teams when you are already 3-0 up, Walcott doesn't carry Arsenal at all

Walcott does not carry Arsenal, because they play a team game almost like barca. So him being in the team or out won't make a big difference. this is even highlighted by last season when theo scored less but had a high assist, because the focal point was RVP now everyon is chipping in. While spurs rely on bale a lot so his stats for points won will be higher and when he has an off day spurs are below average:pep:
