It's not just that, but AVB is dedicating a player to cover the LM/LW position. Last season, Bale would start out left and then just drift in, with nobody to cover. Credit must also go to Bale, who has worked hard to develop his game allowing him to have more of an impact centrally. He still has a huge path ahead of him, and is very interesting for us Spurs fans to see how far he will go with us!

He's not there and he probably won't be. When teams close down better he will find himself in trouble. Freekicks were nice though!

I agree, as much i'd like to see him come here, i don't think he'd suit our system. He's more of a traditional winger who likes to drift past defenders and put in crosses.
Though if Madrid did sign him, along with Ronaldo they could be lethal. But he still lacks intelligent movement, he doesn't get into spaces left by his team mates but rather depends on his strength and pace to create his own space with the ball. And his passing isn't all that great either.

Even if we made a bid, i have a feeling he'd chose Madrid over us. Bale's a Ronaldo fanboy, and sounded out on most occasions that he'd chose Ronaldo over Messi and that he sees him as his idol. But honestly i think he'd suit a team like ManU best.
