The prices talked about are insane, Bale is good really good but is nowhere near Ronaldo level never mind Messi. If Real pay 100m they will get a good player but not as good as the price would suggest.

I think Real will be better off without him and his signing will help Barca.

Skills aside, Ronaldo is almost a trademark, a figure, a model.

I don't want to be rude to Bale, but despite his great physical qualities, he has not the face to become a trademark like Ronaldo. Even if his ears got a visual upgrade...

So Yeah I agree, he's not Ronaldo.

From what Beast said, I can see now why RM paid so much for Ronaldo's transfer. They "market" Ronaldo's image and get big money from it. Not only from football fans, but in great diversity of magazines, advertisements and such.

Bale is great, but even body wise, It's a lesser Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is a finished product , he can't improve anymore he is already a mature , peaked player... the only way is down from here (that's my opinion)
Bale on the other hand is very young , still hungry for success and can improve a lot to be maybe better than Ronaldo
I highlighted the hunger for success because it seems to be a main criteria for Zidane who seem to play a bigger role than just Carlo assistant , in terms of guiding Perez where & who to buy especially with Varane deal proved to be one of the best buys we made

Moreover from the marketing point of view.. a "British " player would make a lot more than a European one (marketing wise )

I'm still sticking to "CR will be out before the summer window shop ends " .. he is not renewing IMO and i don't see any logic in renewing him nor keeping him to run out his contract
And if you consider that , Bale signing and craving from our club makes a lot more sense

I actually see him staying at RM or joining MU, but next year or in two years.
