Gerard Deulofeu

Deulofeu and Halilovic very similar

Both too selfish and thinks of themselves as the cream of the crop despite having achieved shit all in their career. And yes, both are most likely never playing for Barcelona.

How could you say such a thing? Halilovic is our next Messi and Deulofeu is the best attacker we've had SINCE Messi!

I'm deeply disappointed in you, sir.

Says Deulofeu could leave Everton during the January window for more game time.

Yea. Koeman hasn't given him a chance. He barely played him on the wing and he only really got games as a lone striker due to Lukaku missing pre-season. Then he was just used to press due to his pace. Probably our best player 3 games ago in his first start on the wing even though it's clear he's lacking confidence and his normally great final ball has been poor. However after that game he hasn't played and I doubt he will again as Koeman is looking to play a striker on the right wing to help take some pressure of Lukaku similar to what Martinez did in the 2nd half of last season with probably similar results. Deulofeu also came out and said his Koeman's style doesn't suit him.

I still think there's a good player in there but he doesn't and will never suit the style of Koeman who has turned us into the ugliest team in the league. I just hope Koeman goes before Deulofeu but I also can't stand the football we are playing.

I was under the impression he wasn't playing because he had a string of poor games and got dropped. Is that not the case?

Here's Everton's pass map from the derby.

I think Koeman is trying to implement a defensive-high pressing team but so far from what I've seen it's just ugly. it's probably better for Deulo to find a team that suits his strengths.

Gotta say we did get the worst possible outcome with regards to trio of Deulofeu, Adama and Halilovic lol................

They didn't help themselves either, all 3 moved to the clubs they wanted
Adama wanted money and had huge offer and I am still on my opinion we did the right thing since this kid is the Anti-Barcelona in terms of skills
Deulofeu? I didn't like the 2 loans, out of the whole 94-96 generation no one came close to him as a prospect from La Masia/Barca B . kid played 2012-2013 as 18 years old and was best player in Segunda. If we didn't call him many times to 1st team (with no playing time) he could have ended the season as 2nd best scorer and top 2 in assists IIRC
But he is the one who picked Everton at 2nd time, which is very strange tbh,I think the best for his development was to move to a club where he can play LW which a position that excel his style more rather than being a dribble and cross it RW.
Same for Halilovic ,I didn't like Sporting move but he developed well there. He choose HSV which was a club he liked from the beginning. I don't blame him (or any of the 3) for that. But that isn't on the club.
Look at Denis for example,we moved him to Sevilla and it didn't suit him, kept working and when he found an opportunity for much better chance to succeed he forced his way to Villarreal.
Those kids has themselves to blame as much the club, probably even way more.

Oh yeah. Absolutely right.

The club gave the players the option to choose their own team, their responsibility if it backfires spectaculary.

Deulofeu got a big head as well, far too big for his shoulders. But getting loaned out to a LL team would've been better for him.

As for Adama and Halilovic then the former just don't got the football iq to succeed at the highest level, cannot keep dribbling 24/7 like a headless chicken

And Halilovic obviously got other issues with his entourage making it worse

I remember we had a disagreement when it came to his entourage asking for a car, apartment and so on from teams interested in a loan. Does it seem unlikely they did that now? I don't think so. They all seem delusional

I don't see a proof for it tbh,I mean he picked HSV over Valencia and went for same price. That is the fact we know.

But we don't know what happened between him and Valencia, just claims from the club and they aren't really reliable right now.
His father was former Liga player so I think a man like him should knows the reality of the market. Also HSV aren't really the richest club to meet an insane demands.

I don't know man, still doesn't sound realistic for me,may be he didn't want the move to Valencia and decided to blow it with such demand?
And anyway,he picked his own poison whether it was him or his father making the decision. Hope they learn the lesson about how to choose a club for him and how he should respond to coaches

He didn't do well at Sevilla. And I don't think he'd accept moving to a smaller team back then. Maybe now he will.

He hasn't played great when he has come on as sub (no goals or assists) but it's been in games we have been losing and in fairness it normally coincided with an improvement in our overall team performance. However we have been awful this season. No attacking play whatsoever and we are probably the least attractive team to watch, one that goes long to Lukaku. Hardly a style a player from Barca would revel in. Koeman likes a team of athletes who run around a lot. Klopp called it mad football after the derby and I couldn't agree more, and that was an improvement on previous weeks.

I want him played as a 10 because I don't think Barkley has the vision and football brain to play there but I think he will be sold probably to Stoke with Bojan leaving. He might be bought to play there for them but that's all just speculation.

It started off really well. He was injured for the first few games but when he came in he was providing assists every game and was 2nd behind Ozil in assists around this time last year however we kept losing ridiculous games where we were by far the better team. For me the reason was obvious. Howard and Barry were finished and we had a soft middle but Martinez seemed to think it was because our wingers didn't work hard enough and froze out Mirallas and Deulofeu. After that we were just awful and Koeman has continued that on as if Martinez never left. Barry however has been dropped now (last two games) so defensively we are improving with actual pressing but Koeman is a hoof ball merchant. It's shocking football.

He's not a winger. He should be played on the left with license to drift inside or even better as a 10. He can press but he doesn't have the positional awareness to be trusted on the wing in the traditional sense. He just doesn't think danger which isn't a bad thing for an attacker but can lead too poor decisions in defense.

I think in a way is loan as yes gone bad, but also better than it appears at first sight, because most games that I've seen him play, he as done pretty well, but he is clearly not being used effectively. He is one right manager away from putting it together.

It's always funny to me how fans can see some simple things, like delou is better on the left or middle but managers can't.

We got around 25M for them, I'd say that's pretty good knowing we usually let our youngsters go for free.
