Not great although he didn't really play as a 2nd striker and then was subbed at half time. It was hard to determine what formation Everton were playing. It looked like 7 defenders and 3 attackers who were playing on the counter and had freedom to go anywhere. It didn't work because our strikers were simply outnumbered when they got the ball. It was a very poor game with few chances.
What was more worrying was that he didn't do much better in the game against Espanyol in his favorite position on the right wing although he did win a penalty. We are now being linked to a lot of wingers so it remains to be seen whether it will work out for him this season.
He is still a bit careless and I can see that counting against him with Koeman. On the positive side his work rate is much better.
