Well when we sold him with the Buyback clause to Everton in 2014 his contract ran until 2019. and when he came back that old contract is still in effect.

I remember Sport saying awhile ago that his agent and him were going to negotiate a contract that had a realistic buyout clause in it incase things didn't work out here. Going by today's rumors by MD and Sport I'm guessing that may have gone out the window.

If he plays well next season 20 mil€ is nothing. They are probably working on new contract with bigger buyout anyway. I'm sure they will learn something from this Neymar saga.

BTW, they should raise Roberto's, Umtiti's buy-outs immediately.. These guys are too cheap. In one year they are bargains and everyone's target.
