6 goals and 2 assists in 8 matches
2 times he came off the bench and 4 times he was substituted
Segunda Pichichi, I feel he is outgrowing this Liga

He should be promoted to the first team when he's 20, Not anytime before, He's our biggest future gem and it's not necessary to rush him, Our front line is already packed

Yeah, the last thing we need is Bojan 2: Electric Boogaloo. Especially with Neymar on the way.

Also how depressing is it that the highest scorers in the Segunda are on Barca B and Castilla? Might as well just make La Liga a collection of Barcas and Madrids at this point.

For all of the shit he gets about his mindset or whatever, he's the one prospect who seems to step up to EVERY challenge that is thrown to him. Every level, whether in Barca or the NT, he excels; and he's seems very quick to adjust.

I think by now he at least deserves a few appearances with the first team in cup matches or something. It seems like he is too good for the b team but not mature/developed enough to cement his spot on the first team. i do hope he is promoted by 19 though because i feel like he'll be ready by then and he'll be good enough to work his way up to a regular by the time he's 20-21. I know this seems a bit too fast but if you have noticed his recent improvement, all of his changes have been pretty drastic. he was a really raw talent before but now he's improving at a pretty phenomenal rate and by the looks of it he will become a great player for barca unless he ends up flopping. He doesn't seem like he will be like Bojan because Bojan was kind of weak-minded in terms of fighting for a spot on the team. he wouldn't battle to get playing time and even when he did, he didn't really make the best of it. Deulofeu on the other hand is hungry for a chance to shine and he will do whatever it takes to get that to happen. His maturity will also significantly increase when playing with the first team.

The sad truth is that no matter how well Deulofeu develops he will struggle to break into the starting line up. And even if he does end up a starter by 2014/15 the chances are high that he will fail. I hope that Vilanova will give him as much time to adapt as Guardiola gave to Pedro, It doesn't matter if he goes through his first 20 games without scoring as long as he is given enough confidence from the coach. Had Barcelona signed Mourinho instead of Guardiola, Pedro would have been a 2nd division player today, maybe even 3rd division. I hope that Tito will be around long enough to nurture Deulofeu because he is the type of player that need confidence, he need to be able to fail and get a 2nd, 3rd and 4th chance.

Alexis,Tello,Pedro,Villa,Cuenca, for 2 spots.
The above is already 1 too many, there simply is no place for Deulofeu at this point, even less so if Neymar does eventually join (which is a question of when not if , if some posters on here are to be believed). Plus we still have Affelay on our books but that's not really a situation considering it'll be recitified swiftly in January or June.

Wow, if he is looking like that with the spain u21's (along with recent clips) then i am more excited to see him get a few 1st team minutes sometime this season. When he did come on last year he looked no where near ready, but used at a few choice times in the coming year before even thnking of promotion could really help his development and give him a taste of how much more work he might need to make it

In theory, he doesn't have a spot on the barca first team because of all the players to compete with. However, Alexis and Pedro are in bad form and dont seem to be improving, Villa is aging, Afellay is on the fringes, and Tello and Cuenca are good but if Deulofeu keeps playing like this then he is just simply better. The only tough competition i see for him is Neymar and i really hope barca don't buy him because he's unnecessary.

One of Villa or Sanchez will be out by the end of the season (may be both) if Neymar comes, that is actually a given b/c Neymar will cost around 40M that is our whole budget which means we will need to sell to get money for new CB and back up GK
Sanchez probably will leave anyway ,he isn't a good fit for Barca at all and Italian big clubs will make a move for him next year
Tello & Cuenca are good, but Gerard is actually better talent,he is a potential star not just a role player/potential starter like them ,he will get promoted next year if we don't want him to leave for an English club and probably either Tello or Cuenca will leave
That will make 6 players for 3 spots ,they will all get time next season , Messi will be a starter ,but the other 2 will be wide open and their will be a lot of rotation ,hell even Messi might ask for a rest to be better prepared for the WC (probably his biggest and only chance to truly cement his legacy with his NT)
