One of Villa or Sanchez will be out by the end of the season (may be both) if Neymar comes, that is actually a given b/c Neymar will cost around 40M that is our whole budget which means we will need to sell to get money for new CB and back up GK
Sanchez probably will leave anyway ,he isn't a good fit for Barca at all and Italian big clubs will make a move for him next year
Tello & Cuenca are good, but Gerard is actually better talent,he is a potential star not just a role player/potential starter like them ,he will get promoted next year if we don't want him to leave for an English club and probably either Tello or Cuenca will leave
That will make 6 players for 3 spots ,they will all get time next season , Messi will be a starter ,but the other 2 will be wide open and their will be a lot of rotation ,hell even Messi might ask for a rest to be better prepared for the WC (probably his biggest and only chance to truly cement his legacy with his NT)

He should stay with the B-team this season and the next, but with increasing first team participation. Let him play about 5 or so games this season, and then do a Thiago-like deal with him the next season, IE he'll get to train with the first team and play games semi-regularly after half the season, whilst still playing for Barca B.

This is if he keeps developing like right now

Gerard is actually doing better than what Thaigo was doing few years ago(and Rafa too btw)
His position as a Lwf/RWF usually able to play in first team younger than CM as Thiago ,there is absolutely no point of him staying in B team next year while he has already showed he is really good there
It is gonna do nothing for his development and will be a waste of year ,he is a first league player right now ,if we aren't gonna promote him loan him,a team like Valencia wanted him on loan last year, pretty sure that won't change next summer if they have the chance
Gerard will be 19 by March ,It will be about time to play in the 1st team tbh

You may be right, but Thiago is/was a much more mature player/person than Deulofeu, who still has several important facets of his game to improve on

As good as Deulofeu has looked this season, I contend he'd look even better with better support in midfield from the B team...They continue to look a poor imitation of Lucho or Pep's work under Eusebio

It was great seeing Deulofeu up there with the big boys. It's really remarkable that he was sharing the pitch with Iniesta, Messi, Fabregas, Busquets, etc. I expect him to play the next champions league fixture against Benfica. Although i hope he gets more than 10 minutes of playing time. He'll probably play against Alaves too.

Can't really judge him off of less than 10 minutes but he made a good run when Messi's pass was short. I'm very excited to see what he's going to do over the course of the year.

Hi, its me..
Gerard Deulofeu added yet another chapter to his short but successful career on Tuesday night, making his competitive debut for Tito Vilanova. He replaced Pedro with five minutes to go in Moscow, enough time for people to take a look at him and confirm his promising future.

However, Guardiola and Tito weren't the first people to spot Deulofeu's talent. It was the scouts at Nike, who signed him at just 12 years old when they saw the star in the making. At 14 years old they offered him a contract worth €150,000 a year.

This is the first year that he has had a salary with the B Team, although he was already playing regularly in Barça's second team last season and was its top goalscorer. His salary is about €60,000 this season. He had a youth contract until he was 17 years old.

Deulofeu has been one of Nike's biggest gambles, having previously taken a risk on Leo Messi. He's considered to be the jewel in Barça's youth academy.
