15th in the squad in terms of minutes

That doesn't sound bad at all... 11 of the players ahead of him are the starting XI, and he was injured, and it's a completely new league, country, environment etc., and his game required quite a bit of adaptation for the EPL. He would probably get a lot, lot more if he stayed another year.

He has 8 starts in the BPL out of 35 games. He could have been injured from September to January and that number would still be rather paltry. Would you rather risk him another season at Everton (And quite possibly getting passed up by Adama) or would you send him to Sevilla or Celta?

15th in the squad in terms of minutes with 788 and just 3 matches to go...It's been unacceptable how infrequently he's been used nevermind the occasional curtain call with a minute or so left in a match

The idea is for him to be played, hence the terms of the loan deal...If he isn't going to be a part of Barcelona's first team rotation where he could easily sit on the bench here as well then he should go to a Primera side where he'll actually play

I don't understand how people are just focusing on minutes played. If you just wanted him to get 90 minutes of exercise every week he could have continued playing in the Barca B team. People are going on about sending him to Celta or Sevilla and with his reputation i'm sure there were plenty of willing takers in Spain so why has he ended up at Everton? Has anyone considered that there may be other factors behind him moving to us, such as developing him as a person? Moving him out of his comfort zone, away from friends and family and forcing him to widen his experiences. Also taking him away from the bubble of hype that's followed him since he was young.

If he stays another year than that suggests that your club is happy with the progress on AND off the field.

Anyway, hopefully he has a great game today!

Wasn't there some kind of a clause in his contract that if he doesn't play certain amount of minutes, Everton has to pay us like 3M or something

He wasn't offside in a big occasion whistled by the referee.
Over-all it wasn't a good game.

The combination of Clyne's pace, being out on the left and no midfield from Everton made his job very difficult...Each time he was on the right, he got the best of the much heralded Luke Shaw...One time Lukaku should've put a delicious cross into the back of the net, the other he was through 1v1 on goal but incorrectly ruled offside...Of course, it was the disastrous Toffee defending that is the real story of the match

If he was that talented, like a young C.Ronaldo was, don't you think Roberto would use him more?
