stupid how underrated he is over here.

read today someone moaning about ranking players according to stats and stuff, one read:

"those castrol rankings are so shit, according to them pique is the best defender in the world"

:lol::lol::lol:

And their point is? :party00231:

Wow, no one commenting on the superb performance of Gerard?
He clearly deserves his nick name Piquenbauer more every day.

I meant to swing by this thread.

Pique was immense today. Hated the profession foul decision though.

so now he is suspended.
so let's say we reach final, how many yellow cards does he have to collect before being suspended again?

it's 3 yellows to a suspension and if we progress beyond arsenal there will only be 2 games before a possible final.

so if he avoids a red card he will be fine.

puyol will be treading a tightrope, though.

What's the story with Puyol? He'll miss the second leg & the first of the semi (if we get there)?

he misses the QF second leg through his red card.

he will be available for the first leg of the semi if we progress, and will be 1 yellow card away from suspension.

thanks for the explanations.
i've never studied the rules for football nor basketball. just play my heart out.lol
so even though puyol has a red, the yellow cards he collected will still count?

Nope, after the 3rd, every odd number caution is a suspension(5th,7th). So if he gets a yellow card in each of the semi-final games, it's a suspension for the final. He has to be very careful.

According to EMD Pique is out for a week, so he's doubtful for the Classico. Terrible news.

well guillemme said he won't be able to train for 4-5 days.

assuming it's the 5 day maximum then he'll just get in a couple of sessions (friday and saturday's gameday training) which should be enough you'd think.

you'd hope, anyway.
