Alexis' workrate is outstanding but I'd swap him for Reus without a second thought

Now you trust him? 3 weeks ago 80% of the people here thought the liga was lost and wanted Tata out.

Its true. Tata was fired multiple times by most Culés on this forum for his "lack of ability to motivate the players". Heck there was even a shortlist about who should be his replacement. Its just simply human nature at work i guess.

Like I said he is a good tactician mostly but we are only now motivated after the loss and people saying its the end of the era. He should have had them motivated even for the Valladolid game.

He isn't quite as good a motivator. But I still think he is a decent manager.

Motivation's on both the players and the coach. Still, I agree that motivation is Tata's weakness.

You wanted your Pedro against Asspanyol and you got him. He was shit, so would be Alexis who still somehow proves to be a flop despite his decent numbers.

We need to play with 3 attackers. But Tata will fit all the big names. Either that is tactical naivety or pandering to the big names.

You have to play neymar to let him develop. He won't always be in form but his talent ceiling is just too high to leave him on the bench! let him play. Alexis and Pedro will get their fair share too.

The reason Tata will go for 4 midfielders again is because it has served us very well in the big games so far this season, we have yet to lose one. The only evidence I see of pandering to big names is his insistence on starting Neymar ahead of Pedro/Alexis in the last few weeks but it sounds like he might go for Pedro tonight.

I agree with Irish_Cules. Xavi is not good enough anymore and Iniesta just started playing at a supreme level a few weeks ago for us to go with only 3 midfielders. Having Cesc adds control even if he doesn't have an amazing match. Cesc also provides killer through balls, better finishing than most of the team except Messi and Pedro, and doesn't try stupid shit too much.

I think Neymar still needs to grow into the team to warrant starting big matches like this. With Atletico's physical playstyle, I can see Neymar on the ground every 2 minutes and disrupting the flow of the game where it's important we score a few and make sure the visit to Madrid is with a good advantage.

Yeah let's clog up the midfield even more with 4 midfielders allowing Atletico to be more compact and they dont have to worry about the flanks and being stretched.
