not in the right situation. he is a club icon and would get us back to the core principles. like when pep arrived in 2008.

thing with cruyff is there is also political bullshit that comes with it.

Cruijff's Heir
Cruijff should be involved behind the scenes, on a board level. Honorary presidency reinstalled, please! A symbolic job at the club (like Di Stefano at RM for example) and talking to the board once every month to discuss how everything is going at the club. Coach? Please no, he hasn't done that in ages.

maybe thats a better idea. but its hard to find a coach who commands that kind of respect. they'd hang on to every word he says.

If we can't give a coach not named pep or cruyff complete respect than the problem is with us and we need to change our mentality

In an ideal world, sure, Cruyff would be fantastic...but he does come with baggage, not just political either...He's a legend and the father of Barcelona modern football but geniuses are not always the easiest to work with or for...Plus, I think the game has changed so much that with all the work that goes into preparation for multiple competitions & opponents in a longer season than he ever worked in would require assistants to fill those gaps...Would he live & breathe football for Barcelona again the way Pep did?...With all the projects he's involved in, I doubt it tbh

Plus, if it were to go south, it would turn so ugly as he always seems to have acrimonious exits

well this is up to interpretation, we will only now after the next Cl games...
( but generally i could care less of winning the liga with 10000 points, when it means that i dont have the legs of running for my life in the most important games)

Most important game is the next one in the league.

I would be all for Cruyff but he would have to have complete control over team, decide who we buy and sell and board has to accept, otherwise it will be bad...really bad

I mean, just imagine Johann training this generation, it would be amazing to see how he would revolutionize football with them.

Cruyff is done coaching. It's a new football out there, many things have changed since the last time he was a coach for Barca. He means a lot for FC Barcelona, Cruyff, but he'd be a massive failure as a manager in 2014-2015.

Noone can blame Tata for all the injuries we've had plus all the dramas off the field with Neymargate, Rosell etc. People have to remember -this is his FIRST season in Europe and that too at a club like Barca. You could bring in ANY outsider as coach and they would struggle at Barca too. I bet Mourinho wouldn't do much better then Tata too-especially with this squad.

One of the reasons we've looked a little off -sync are the rotations Tata has made in order to keep the squad fresh. Also the injuries haven't helped. When we lost those games Messi wasn't at 100% and Neymar was injured too. Our bench is shit and our defence a mess. DESPITE all these factors we are second only ONE point behind first, in the Copa Final and in the CL quarters.

He has done a VERY GOOD job so far.
