He doesn't offer so much.. And he is closer to the end of his career, he seems on decline and uninspired. So i don't see the point of signing him, especially if he gets a big wage.
I would rather see players like Moriba or Pedri, who are very promising and helpful for us.
Or I can imagine finding better midfielders in europe, other than Wijnaldum, and who don't cost us a lot.

Yeah, the positions that can be improved upon right now are the ones held up by french or dutch players - ie LCB, RWB, AMC and Striker.
Even if you thought that Wijnaldum would be a good cheap player etc etc, he would be playing in one of two roles where we now play Busquets and Pedri, and Frenkie, Ilaix, Puig, Roberto and Pjanic also are in the squad (then there is even Nico, Gavi and Orellana)
Buying Wijnaldum would be the most stupid thing I can think of, even more stupid than the Pjanic - Arthur swap.

I initially thought it may be a good idea to sign him but pass.

Rather take the chance on our younger players at this point. If we are going to sign a new midfielder I’d rather go for someone in their early 20s.
