Gini Wijnaldum

He is looking for more money, otherwise he would have renewed with Liverpool already. Like what DonAK said, this is probably his last long-term contract so he will try to get the most out of it, nobody can blame him. If we were to trust the reports (that PSG offered him a lot more than we did) then it is very natural that he goes to PSG.
I'm pretty sure he won't go to PSG but Bar?a.

Most of the time, this "free" players have already made their minds. Aguero, Alaba, Thiago Alcantara -not free but you get my drift-, Eric Garcia, soon Depay and Wijnaldum.

I'm as sure as i was about Neymar and Messi staying in their respective clubs.

If he goes to Psg so be it. Disappointing but there's nothing we can do.
Partey is the player we should have signed. He's now wasting his time at Arsenal.
Bottom line we need a proper physical player who will add steel to the midfield. Whether that's Gini or someone else get it done.
A midfield of De Jong, Pedri, Busquets and Puig is not going to win the league. Too fucking soft.
Than people are going to blame Koeman despite the fact that we have such a poor midfield.

Good point and true. We are not going to win with this midfield.

There was a time yaya toure had to leave cause he couldnt get into the first 11.

De jong and winjaldum running over for 90 mins would be a breath of fresh air.

Fabulous, just fabulous. The same people that will be bitching and moaning in here are the ones that told us "Gini" ain't coming here for one last big paycheck.

It's done he isn't coming move on.

He is a mercenary after 1 last paycheck.

Only sign legendary players with a point to prove like Aguero or Suarez for Atletico, or Silva for Chelsea.

Players with a chip on shoulder and motivated to prove ex clubs wrong

I won't blame him or ridicule him if he chooses PSG over us. In football loyalty and respect is a bitch. Tomorrow if he comes and has a shit season people would be after his head. Its nothing wrong if he goes to PSG if they are offering him more money.

I'd take the money & run, what is Barcelona at this point going to add to his legacy.

Wouldn't be a huge loss either, he's not that good anyway. Could be a nice addition but nothing to lose sleep over if he goes to PSG.

Shitty point as expected would be made.

Every player in the world takes salary into account.

As if players should sign for Barca on mininum salary or fuck all wages and if dont they 'only care about money'.

What move could Gini make that proves he is not after 'one last big paycheck'? Should he seek out the worst possible financial deal to keep plebs happy that claim such nonsense?

Very few players in Gini situation would refuse double salary at this time in career between what PSG and Barca have to offer.

Guess it means if he does chose Barca for likes of you he isnt after the paycheck.

Wonder who the team will target if Wijnaldum doesn't come here. De Jong and Pedri are likely pegged on as starters. But Busquets should not be a regular starter. Moriba is nowhere close to being ready for a starter role. And Puig........... just no.
