Guy shows how mediocre of a coach Xavi was lol
The way Xavi managed to convince so many people here that we are so far behind any top team is remarkable, we even had people saying here making CL quarter finals was a huge achievement.

What we saw today is (as many suspected) those teams such as Bayern in reality aren't very different at all and make plenty of mistakes.

It is incredible how much gaslighting happened here in the last 2 years. We had people saying the likes of Pedri were average players, imagine how insane the discourse here was.

Completely reversed our fortunes. Changed the mentality of the squad. Of course the Madrid game us coming up but so far this guy has slotted into the role seamlessly.

Yeah, people were saying our players are completely shit but the only stinky thing was Xavi. I hope this serves as a lesson in the future.
You get the best manager possible, not some Barca DNA or some liga scrub.

Disagree.

We lost

Possession
Barcelona 43% - 57% Bayern

Passes
Barcelona 300 - 500 Bayern

That's not the DNA.

Anyone who says Pedri is average doesn't pass the litmus test of whether he understands anything about the sport he is wathcing

As for the rest, 100% agree

Xavi did all the groundwork for him. No need to bash him.
At least from my perspective, only speaking for myself, the main reason Xavi annoyed me so much is the constant doomerism and gaslighting. I don't even think he believed it himself, it was his attempt to fuel his ego and his saviour complex as if we should be grateful and begging for his management. (Remember the fake resignation?)

I think the constant remarks about how the squad wasn't good enough and how we didn't have enough money for signings did seep down into the team's mentality and we played very scared, conservative ball with a tendency to fall apart against good teams.

In reality none of it was true. The squad is as good as any top European squad and there is plenty of talent there to work with.

If he conducted himself positively and took more accountability for some issues we had during his tenure people would speak about him far more favourably. But he chose to paint himself as a victim of a bad squad and bad resources.

People need to realize that Xavi hired his brother and bough a bunch of Qatari trainers and physio to this Barca team.

Amateur hour.

Flick is creating a monster. Other than Dani Olmo, this was the same team Xavi had to work with and he was getting schooled. Meanwhile Flick just slaughtered Bayern.
