Everyone can agree the way we have dropped points against the mid table sides is unacceptable

Part of it is the players, part of it is Flick not having the guile to fight these Liga shithouses tactically.

Don't agree on this personally. I think the issue is not today's match, but previous lost points. Today's match is a rarity that happened all the time even in our peak days.

I don't think it's shameful to admit that Xavi had a kind of pragmatism and league knowledge that Flick lacks so far. It's pretty obvious. They are different managers. There is a reason Xavi liked more control and more focus on defense. It's easier to beat these sides if you hold the zero on conceded goals.
We were flying under Xavi when the forwards clicked. Same as Flick, Lucho,...

Difference is Xavi got more out of the team when everybody sucked. Anyone can win with Euro form Yamal, reborn Raph, MSN,...

I agree, and I was referring more to the past matches rather than this one, this one was an anomaly.

Yet, it is still true that statistically we're doing way too poorly against the mid table sides, so we have to improve tactically.

You don't consider that Raphinha might be 'reborn' because the tactics suit him better.

At the end of the day you have to compare them on paper because its the coaches job to get the most out of the players.

Past matches that the team lost points in looked completely different than today. In many the team got outplayed for good portions of those matches.

When tf did our forwards click under Xavi? I remember maybe a few games like that, not more. The main difference here is it happens a lot more under Flick's system. On games when it doesn't though, we are most likely getting fucked.

Thing is this is like the 3rd time I've read you saying this so far this season.

When something becomes a pattern, it's no longer an exception.

I remember some insanely good games against Real, Atletico...

But for 99% of Xavi's reign we had an atrocious set of forwards. And an even less experienced Yamal.
