At this point, it is all too fucked up to contemplate anything sensible out of this. Losing to minnows while winning with the heavy weight opponents.... Loganes is not better than BVB or Betis...something is not right with keeping them players focused and motivated for these - one would believe - as easy peasy encounters.
Sacking Flick already? Nah...nothing is lost there yet. He has found a good formula but they got too sloppy implementing it on the domestic front. Fucking care!

Thing is this is like the 3rd time I've read you saying this so far this season.

When something becomes a pattern, it's no longer an exception.

Not at all, this match is an outlier this season. Good football but lost points due to superb defending from the other team.

I remember some insanely good games against Real, Atletico and even Bayern.

But for 99% of Xavi's reign we had an atrocious set of forwards. And an even less experienced Yamal.
He had both Lewandowski and Raphinha. They are the same players, just that a different coach made them perform better. Lamine was less experienced but still a huge quality player that you could rely on most of the time last season. He also had the money and could have demanded from the club to sign somebody instead of Roque.

Teams are comparable, you are arguing for nothing really. Xavi got the most out of bums like Dumbele. No other manager got him to play consistent football like Xavi did. Xavi got some old but quality Amigos (mostly Busi), Flick gets more mature youngsters, more adapted raphinha, and so on.

And we won away just a couple of days ago against Dortmund do you remember? something no other coach has done int 3 years, sp not all doom and gloom right.
I see that there is still some Xavi left lovers still in here, almost sounds like you are rooting for Flick failure? oh no say it aint so?

Oh we beat the mighty Dortmund and I am supposed to celebrate that while winning one league game out of 6

Shut up

When tf did our forwards click under Xavi? I remember maybe a few games like that, not more. The main difference here is it happens a lot more under Flick's system. On games when it doesn't though, we are most likely getting fucked.

Away

Madrid
Atleti
PSG

Just choose 3 hard away games could give you more, whole bunch in his first half season alone.

What the hell kind of formula can you come up with when Lewandowski misses three clear scoring opportunities?

Only one. Don't fuck up in the previous matches. You fuck up, you lose margin for freak matches like this one.

Tale as old as time. Flick made the error of losing both at his end-to-end football approach, and vs parked bus. Vs parked bus I can accept, it happens for the ball to not go in. 2-2 vs Celta from 0-2 and stuff like that I can't.

Pick one, you can't lose points both vs teams that defend deep and teams that attack you.

I am not sold on this being a freak match, but will rewatch our chances later when I cooled down. Lewy had one good chance (brilliant pass from Pedri, really hard finish - he nailed the first touch). Then some shitty 1% chance headers and Kounde's wide shot (also a really hard chance).

The mighty Dortmund that have beaten all the big clubs at home the last three years but not Flick`s Barca, za za za :) Oh i know you want him to fail, so much so that you hope for Barca to loose. That's just screwed up man. But i have seen you replies to other posts and im not that surprised. Do read my first post on this subject and you will se that im also torn about Flick, i do like his way of playing football though. something i cant say about Xavi-

He had an absolute sitter prior to that after a low cross by Raphinha. He puts that to the right of the keeper or a bit higher and it's a goal. Probably our highest xG chance today

It's a freak match that creeps in 2-3 times a season. I think these are La Liga specific matches that you have to accept and move on. As said, remember 3-4 of those even in 2010-11.
