Not really...

Xavi was constantly gaslighting everyone, blaming all but himself about everything.
He was the epitome of toxicity on the bench

Flick only complained about his ridiculous sent-off and ban during Betis game

I would never deny that Xavi cared a little bit too much, but that's to be expected, he loves this club.

If we don't hit at least 85 pts like last season it's a pretty big failure from Flick in La Liga, I don't think you can hide around the bush on this one, regardless if you'd still give him another season or not.

Anyone that believes he can improve the team really, despite an eventual bad season.

People can improve in time. Some don't but some can and do.

I didn't chase away Xavi so I can support Flick without looking like a clown. I am aware of squad limitations and this was a big argument for me when backing the former manager.

Excuse for what? If he has a bad season he's to blame for sure. It doesn't mean you don't support him if you believe in his ability to fix the problems in the future.

If you sport him even if he has a bad season you suport him despite that, you don't build a bubble detached from reality where he had a great season.

It depends on many things anyway. I support him because after many years we are beating top rated teams in CL. Very legitimate reason to back a manager if you ask me and give him some space.
