We won't get Pool before F, because they are 1st we are 2nd
We won't get Arsenal before SF because they are in top4
We won't get Inter before at least QF (maybe also SF) because they are in top5

Chances for a bad matchup in the R16 are these three: City, Madrid, PSG

I would be confident against PSG football-wise.
Their possession style suits us, we can rip them apart with quick transitions
Madrid are on paper strong, but we have their number with Hansi at the helm

City I am not so confident. First, because there are very high chances they are recovered by March
Second, because Pep's new way of playing since 2020 is designed to exploit sides like Flick's Barca

I would prefer any team except Pool who are clearly the best side around at the moment out of a lot of meh ones. Oh and Simeone because his shithousing is annoying in the CL.

RM is better than us personnel wise by a lot but we typically have their number. Inter and Bayern are also 50/50.

Arsenal is never beating us.

agree :flick2:

This time PSG doesnt even have Mbappe, we would beat them

If City really recovers in 2-3 months they will be extremely dangerous as PL title run is over for them so they will go all in for cl

Pep doesn't do CL highjacks Madrid style. It's more likely they lose to some Monaco or Lyon type like 5-6 years ago than they regroup like crazy and do a CL push in a shite season.

PL title run is the least of their concerns. They need to secure 4th spot and that's not going to be a walk in the park for them.

One of PSG and City is likely to miss out from CL top 24 as they face each other next.

They will secure top4 spot easily at the end, because other than Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea,
there is no other team consistent enough to be sure to get 70+ pts by May

As for top 24 spot, math and safe prediction says both will get it if they win their last matchday games (even if either loses the game again each other)

Even if they make it, they will likely get paired with a strong team in the play-off. Dortmund and Bayern are 9th and 10th I think at the moment.

Bayern will be in the top8,

I think City will certainly finish higher than 23rd 24th spot if they win their last home game.

Not true at all imo. We won't tolerate any prolonged periods of no titles. It's just not possible for us to turn into Arsenal, Tottenham, or United.

If you think about it, even Koeman won a title here in his only 1.5 seasons in charge.

The club can't just sit and watch Madrid winning stuff. Not possible. In fact, it's quite the opposite situation to some EPL teams who invest hugely only to settle for mediocre results. We lack the investments to match our pressure to win titles that would make the balance fairer and more reasonable.

We need to separate between the early phase of a project which is the current situation with Flick, and something like ETH who was going nowhere despite plenty of time and money being poured into his side.

The club is never going to back Flick long term if years into his stint we'll continue to lose many points vs midtable or worse teams.

How can you be so arrogant? It's that sort of arrogance that fucked us in the first place.
We can't even register players, forget buying new ones. How are we supposed to compete when we have holes in the first team and no squad depth?

i have also the feeling a team like monaco could beat them but i dont want to underrate them, they have the power to reach semi final

but the players need to find their form back, haaland, Kdb, Silva are all underperforming atm
