We won 1 out the last 8. What makes you think we have a chance to win 15 out of the next 18?
This is a weird question. It's pretty obvious there is a reason to believe in that. Maybe not 15 out of 18 but even less than that would probably be sufficient to win the league.

We have improved since November and December. 2025 is going well and the game against Getafe doesn't have to be identified with those losses against Las Palmas, Leganes, Celta, Betis etc. We would have likely dropped points to Getafe away even if we kept our October form all the way. Remember our first game against Getafe. It was 1-0 and we were lucky that Getafe missed an absolute sitter in the last minute otherwise it would have been the same result. And we even played that game at home lol.

Even less would have us win the league? Your optimism is on on a whole new level.

You think Madrid will just roll over the rest of the season.

Their is honestly nothing flick and the team has shown so far that they are capable of winning 12 games back to back.

Defense wins what?

Yet still better than ours, when it matters
That's definitely up for a debate but would be pointless considering the two teams already met two times this season. One defence held 9 goals the other 2.

One defence also conceded more than 2 goals in just 1 game this season (Osasuna) and the other well...

We have scored all of 5 goals more than they have, so all that flick offense doesn't look that impressive.

They have conceded 20 goals, 4 against us, so that's 16 against the rest of the league.

They know how to keep it tight and win a game.

But I like your optimism, I always look forward to what new ways you will try to remain positive.

Monty Python would be proud of you.

'we have not yet began to fight" lol.

No team is winning a league title, that doesn't know how to keep a clea sheet.

It's an area that he absolutely must improve to win the league. No doubt.

Even if you take the greatest Barca sides in history. Take MSN era. Remember the close one on Ballaidos with a Mathieu header that won us the game?

And that's possibly the greatest attack ever assembled.

Most of Flick's clean sheets came in beatdowns btw. 7-0 vs Valladolid, 3-0 vs Alaves.

You must work on the system to make the team less vulnerable in defense, because there are many teams in Spain that can defend well if they score easy goals.

He has the offense well drilled, but so far he hasn't got the balance between attack and defense quite right. We look like we could concede 2 goals vs any team in the league, even vs the worst.

These are some of the results away by peak MSN and treble winnners Barcelona in 2014-15 in La Liga.

2-1 vs Almeria
1-0 vs Atletico
1-0 vs Celta
1-0 vs Valencia
1-0 vs Villareal
2-0 vs Vallecano
0-0 vs Getafe
2-0 vs Espanyol
2-0 vs Eibar
0-0 vs Malaga
0-1 vs Sociedad

In 11 games the team managed to score 12 goals. 1.09 goals a game. And that's Messi creating chances, plus Suarez and Neymar next to him. Iniesta doing the passing. And the team still had many matches where the attack simply produced a lower output.

If in the majority of those games you stupidly concede 1 or 2 goals, it's bye bye league title.

One of the most underrated stats of 14-15 Barca -

We scored 175 goals (!!!) and only conceded 37 goals in 60 games across LL + CL + CDR.

Only 37 conceded in 60 games. Pique and Alves and Busquets' level in that season was otherworldly. Especially Pique paired next to an aging Masche who was already tired from 2014 WC campaign.

If you look at 2010-2011 Barca, same story. We barely conceded goals. I think only 21 conceded in 38 LL games, and overall maybe 35-40 goals conceded all season

EDIT: Just checked, yep 2010-2011 conceded only 36 goals all season across all competitions...the best in Barca history

By contrast, 16-17 RM (recognized as another of the best club sides of all time), conceded 65 goals across their campaigns that season. This is why Barca is a notch above in these best all time side debates...at our best, we COMPLETELY DOMINATED the opponents. Outplayed them from every aspect of the field.

Last team who can claim this before us is 70s European Cup 3-peat Ajax (not a coincidence lol).

I've been trying to tell them for weeks.
You not winning a league title with a shit defense.

In our situation, it's not the individual players who are shit, but the system leaves us hopelessly exposed.

Difference is those Barca teams commanded games with 65-70% possesion of the ball. And the goals conceded in ratio are even less, the reason you concede 30 goals and score 90 in a league.

Too early to throw the towel with 18 games to go for Barca. 54 more points to fight for with a difference of 2.5 games now. I'm not expecting Barca to win all of them games, but neither could be expected from Real Madrid and Atletico.

It's over in the league. Those who think a blip in form lasts that many games and you suddenly bounce back to win all games must have watched another sport until now. Leagues are not won by sudden bursts in form. Yes, you can have poor games, but there must be some sustained results to be in the race. You can't be the last team in the league over two months and then win everything.
