Best chance since 14/15

I don’t think we would win more often than not v Pool in CL but in a one off game it’s very possible

Plus there’s Vardrid and their CL voodoo
Imo best chance was last season. Had a great draw. This season is a very good chance too tbf.

I'm worried about the Paris game. They have a lot of pace and energy but it's tough to know their actual level in real competitive games. I think we'll spank any team other than PSG, Barca and Real in a knockout.

He has done nothing to fix any of the flaws we have seen from the beginning of the season.
Congrats.
That's a shockingly clueless claim, sorry I had to say it. Do you think we would win Las Palmas, Rayo or Alaves in November? No, we wouldn't. We managed to save the lead in those games, despite playing worse than most games we lost in November. We would have saved it against ATM too, but Flick had overconfidence in players like Gavi and underestimated their ability to mess it up.

Thanks for proving my point and letting us know none of these games has been entertaining

Thought you had enough entertaining games and wanted us to see out games, at least that's what you lot parrot everytime we don't win. Then when we actually do it you complain about entertainment... Holy shit

Thanks for admitting you were lying about games being entertaining

I really dont understand why you come to this conclusion, what does failure mean? Only if he doesnt win this season and next season titles he would be a failure but cant see this happening

It can happen if you don't work on the issues and you keep repeating them. That's what Bayern fans on redcafe say on his tenure there. Entertaining but stressful because of how exposed their were in defense. One fan there said that Flick's Bayern would concede clear chances on the counter regularly even vs the worst opponents in Germany.

The weak defense of the team is primarily the result of Flick's decisions. It happened with Bayern, it happened with Germany, it happens with Barca also. He puts great stress on defenders. He is quite a nightmare manager if you are a defender. His system will make you look worse than you are usually. For the attackers, he is bliss.

Anything can happen. Our strong offensive force can win us games vs any team, but we can also concede lots of goals from well executed counters and Simeone exploited perfectly how vulnerable we are in this area. Never seen Atletico create chances so easily against Barca like he does against Flick's system.

This lack of control is what can hurt us long term if it does not get fixed.

Lets say he sacrifice a bit safety in defence to get 200% of all our offense players. So far it worked in most games, wins against Real, Bayern,Dortmund. Against Benfica and Atletico we should have done better in defence but Atletico had only 1.6xG, individual mistakes + subbing off Pedri killed us more than the system.

Lets see how return leg vs Atletico ends 👀

A bit of safety? The defense is midtable in terms of conceding chances most likely, probably as worse as some of the bottom table clubs. It's a lot of defensive safety, not a little.

What does "we should have done better" mean? Defensive players will always make errors when put under the pressure of a system that is designed for the benefit of the attacking players.

There are only two real options here to tackle the issues. Switch the tactics (and before anyone jumps at it, no, it doesn't mean anything close to playing defensive), or continue on the same line and hope the attack is gonna deliver 4-5 goals regularly. We basically demand perfection from the defensive line as it is.

Vs Atletico, in 2 games, there weren't any huge blunders imo. You can't seriously think Kounde slipping 40m away from goal in a wide position is a huge blunder. In itself, it is not, it is something that happens and will continue to happen. Only the tactics make it huge. That's Flick ball. Huge risk in defence where any little error can immediately lead to a conceded big chance and a goal.

Basically all you are saying is this is a risky system. Nothing new, we knew it way before Flick even arrived at this club. So far, the risky system delivers so I don't see why it would need any adjustments. We already won few games in the league with our attack being atrocious, so I have little worries there.
