Cubarsi and Inigo do not have good recovery pace

Only Araujo can cope in such situations. Even Kounde as a CB can't.

Problem is Araujo currently can't keep the offside line.
Yes, I understand. I don't think Araujo should play. The main couple is Kubarsi and Inigo. All I'm saying is that they are quite good for Flick's system (good positioning, passing game, etc.), but not ideal as they lack speed.

The problem is not speed imo. Often the strikers have a head start because we try to leave them offside thinking they are the target for a straight pass. When in fact, ball is played wide than quickly switched with a fast low cross to the striker who already has a positional advantage to the defenders because the defenders played the offside trap.

The idea is that any player that is offside can become a huge threat if ball is fed to them by a wide runner who is not offside.

Inigo is no longer young, so the team should aim to find a central defender with qualities:
left-footed
good positioning (high football IQ, etc)
speed both starting and in the distance
good passing game
good aerial duels

Yes, it sounds so, corny, but that's what it is. There's Saliba on the market, but he's right-footed.

Calma. It's a draw in which we scored 4 goals, and the reality is their chance quality didn't near match their 4 goal tally. Once again we showed lethal attacking prowess.

We will win the second leg.

Too much panic here and pseudo analysis. Flick lives and dies by the sword, we know this, but we were the better team. and we'll prove it in the second leg.

Bookmark this, Flick haters.
