Flick is saying the things I want to hear.
Goals matter, not possession.
Fitness is paramount. If the players aren't fit, they can't press and they will wilt later in the game. We've seen that plenty of times.
Tactics matter. Hopefully this guy won't replicate Xavis shambolic reign. We should be able to see a more coherent, tactical plan.
People whining about him not speaking Spanish. It's early days. It's going to take time.

Yeah, let's bring Xavi back. Maybe we can lose 6 zip to Villareal this time. Not to mention the consistent El and CL humiliations.

Yes, some interesting thoughts and could work against certain opponents but in general I don't believe Flick wants to use his FBs like that or replicate what Pep is doing with Stones.

Going by his interview today, he's prepping us to not except a DM signing.

Except to see a Iot rotation in that slot until he find a solution.

I think long term, it will be De Jong-Gavi, gavi will make up for de jong's general lack of balls in the deeper position.

But at the start of the season Romeu, Casado maybe what we see.
