Hate to break it to you but that was 4 years ago, he's 36, 37 by time of his +1 clause being triggered

Go easy
Nose is getting brown
I hope the pilates he's been doing with Anna, will do the trick. She bakes special cookies 🍪 for him too, they're branded Ania's cookies, I had them myself 😋 ...a few of these and you good to go for 100 miler bike ride. I ain't kidding, they work like magic, ... you should try them too.

Sounds like he already had a few but Anna put salt in them. :tek1:

For example, for years, I had some unexplainable hate for players like Puig, Arthur and similar who, for me, represented everything what was wrong with Barca and what I disliked. Light, short, technical, zero fighting spirit, zero pace. Possession for the sake of it type of players.

You should keep up with the times, Puig is best 10 itw if you don't count Messi:

Seen nothing to convince me this ain't a purple patch just yet
You don't go from being washed to useful at 36
Just a matter of how long it lasts. Might be long enough to get Barca somewhere near a title but we will see
Well, I guess you must be pretty new to this football thing. If so, it's nothing to be ashamed about.
Don't pick and look at just one specific player. Look at the whole team and compare to what you saw last season (if you were following our games). You know in recent couple of seasons some ppl here wanted to ship out like 60-80% of our players - Rafi, Lewa, Gavi, FDJ, Fati, Ferran etc because most of the time they seemed useless, finished or underperforming (I too wanted some of them out).

When you look at our squad today as we speak, it is, on paper, objectively WEAKER than last season. Key players like TS, Araujo, Christensen injured. No Gundogan, no Felix, Roque loaned out, no big signings. Yet the difference is like night and day. Or more like between crap and gold. So what happened? The answer is, our players looked like crap because virus of xaviball got deep into their systems and turned them from footballers to zombies. After Xavi quit, doctor (or more like, miracle man) Flick came in and applied the anti-xaviball vaccine.

I repeat, because it apparently needs repeating. It's not just one player that looked useless or finished. Most of them did.
Like TemporaryFan said, Lewandowski is just himself... AGAIN. And so is Rafinha... and Pedro... and all the others from the first team.

At this point I can't wait for Gavi, FDJ, hell, who knows maybe even Fati to get match fit, become xaviball-free and turn back into quality players.

You're welcome
After el Clásico, during the dressing room celebrations, the Barça players were chanting "3 days off!" to put pressure on Flick and add an additional day to the 2 days off they had... Flick refused. During today's training session the players tried again, but Flick said "Everyone will be here on Wednesday." —

Wednesday is 4 days from Saturday. So they did get 3 days off in the end. wth?

Took another coach to unlock Xavi's signing and create a system for them to flourish. It was not about the players, it was about the coach. Move on.

I was thinking something similar yesterday. The club is not there, yet, but I remember people downplayed Pep, how he found success with the inherited Rijkaard squad.

Not quite old enough to have watched the Bulgarian silver tongue that's for sure
Don't have to look at whole team to think who's the most vulnerable part in it

Easy mate, all good, we're hardly talking anything new WRT Lewa or anyone else. Doubt he'll be as serviceable come spring
