"Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player, who manages Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq. He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool and the England national team, captaining both. He is considered as one of the best midfielders of his generation."

"Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈlwis ˈswaɾes]; born 24 January 1987) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami. Nicknamed "El Pistolero" ("The Gunman"), he is widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation and one of the greatest strikers of all time".

Suarez is more highly regarded in all time great player discussions. It ain't even close.

You mean the loser who never won the league?

And actively hurt his team from winning 1 by slipping?

 Everyone considers Suarez one of the greatest strikers of all time

No one considers SlippyG one of the best midfielders of all time
And yet Gerrard finished higher in Bdor rankings than Suarez ever did. The award you Messibois respect the most.

Gerrard will always be synonymous with Liverpool. Suarez will be a footnote in Barcelona's history lmao.

For a troll like you, maybe. Suarez is one of the best strikers to ever play for this legendary club and we'd had R9 prime, Romario prime, Eto'o prime, Kubala etc. as company.

Gerrard can keep his achievement of ensuring Pool won no leagues though

People ridiculed @Birdy for praising Flick's German discipline before he joined Barca. Hahaha.

Birdy always gets bullied here for his takes, but the reality is he took a mega W here, and he has a unique perspective worth listening to on certain things. I respect his view on tactics specifically a lot and I think his opinion on tactical matters is one of the best here.

Everyone has their own view on football, as long as they are articulate enough and informed, its best to take some things from everyone, everyone has their specialities in terms of analysing football.

The vast majority of posters here are pretty good with the exception of only a few insane ones like IU.

Both Barca and Liverpool are historic clubs.

The difference is that Gerrard is right up there with King Kenny for Liverpool.

While Suarez is a footnote in Barca's history.

People like you treat loyalty as a negative quality and then moan about Neymar not being loyal to Barca. You probably think Totti was a bum because he stayed loyal to Roma.

Never said this but you know what happened? Messi did leave Barca for money and ended up miserably flopping in the Uber Eats league and got embarrassed by PSG fans.

So neither was he loyal nor did he adapt well to new leagues. L.
