We didn't get knocked out by average teams in Europe last season. We beat Porto two times, Napoli once, did the job. We lost to PSG after falling down to 10 men for over 60 mins vs a superior team.

We will see if this season we can top that or not.
PSG last season was not a superior team

Well, being pragmatic and adjusting you tactics due to changing game conditions actually works. Who would have thought it !

Had we played like that to see off the many La Liga games we were winning, the title would probably be done and dusted by now.

Let's us not see a high line 5 yards from the half way line, when we are 1 goal up with 5 minutes to go, ever again.

Make our opponents EARN their goals.

This. The Athleti game comes to mind.

... the 27th matchday in LaLiga against Osasuna (Saturday, 9pm): ‘It's a difficult game. When we played Osasuna, they pressurised very well, they were also good one-on-one. We found it difficult. But tomorrow is a new game, we'll be well prepared. It was an away game, we had a lot of personnel changes back then. It's important for us to have the best possible team on the pitch. At the moment, the team is also performing at a different level. That gives me a positive outlook for tomorrow's game.’

... Rotations: ‘We haven't decided yet how much we'll rotate, but we have to rotate a bit. It's very important. But it's important to have the best team on the pitch, that's our focus. We've managed it well so far and will do the same tomorrow.’
... a possible break for Pedri: ‘We'll see tomorrow, ask him tomorrow how he feels and then decide. He's very professional, his attitude is incredible. He recovers well between games. He's using everything we have here to recover. He trains very well and you can see that on the pitch. The way he trains is the way he plays: at an incredible level.’

... Wojciech Szczesny and his outstanding performance against Benfica: ‘That's his job, that's how I put it. He helped us a lot with his performance. That's why he's number one at the moment. When you see players in training and you know how they played before - that's a feeling you have. I'm not the only one who decides everything because I have a great staff around me. We talk a lot about the players, about their performances or what they can do. That's how we manage the team. I realised that he could achieve this level of performance. It's not an individual decision, because that's not my way. Yes, in the end I decide things, but I also want to hear the opinions of others.’

‘I'm very proud of the team because they have a good response in every situation. That gives us confidence and belief in what we're doing and how we want to play. Things are going well at the moment, hopefully we can keep this up for the next few weeks.’
