Currently there are two major schools in football with its variations:
- positional football, with Pep being the founder and everyone else following,
- relationism, which is really evolving in Brazil with Diniz and now some teams in Europe are trying to implement it, like that Malmo coach

Don't get confused. I am not talking offensive/defensive approach, formation, high/low line, and all that.
99% of football you see in Europe is positional despite the very different approaches

Fabregas seem to try to look the relationist way.

There are some elements of relationism in Hansi's football, which is positional up to an extent.
When attacking players find themselves close enough in central zones they try to freely and instinctively combine with each other

Well hopefully Cesc doesn't go full Diniz.

That bloke has never had a points record above 1.8 in his career.

@DonAK , with the money behind Como, we should have a very good idea of Cesc ability by the time replacing Flick comes around.

Hansi is great at attacking football but his hallmark is intensity and effort, which tbh are the German brand of football.

We’re one of the fittest and most explosive teams in Europe, and routinely drop 120 km a game.

For reference, EV had us at 100-105. That’s like playing with 11 men vs 9 almost

The next manager must also be of similar school of thought (and most likely German)

There is no way any team with a spine of Pique, Busi, Suarez and Messi would hit these numbers.

Hansi Flick is generally calm and gentle, but he also explodes suddenly. He does not tolerate tardiness nor excuses. —

When Jules Kounde was late to the pre-match talk against Rayo Vallecano at home, Hansi Flick closed the door extremely hard and angrily scolded the player in front of his teammates. It was the third time that Kounde was late this season.

Hansi Flick asks his coaching staff to record the first half of every match. During half time, he projects clips on a big screen to correct tactical details and player movements. Xavi used to do the same thing on a regular whiteboard.

Hansi Flick is very close to the Barcelona players. He explains every decision to them. He does not allow things to become a problem.

When Hansi Flick signed for Barcelona, he was very clear with the players: They would all start with a clean slate. Iñigo Martinez became a regular starter, and Raphinha convinced the manager to stay at the club.

Hansi Flick has prioritized order at Barcelona. He demanded the players to always wear the club's pre-match and travelling clothes before matches.

Hansi Flick asked for Barcelona board members to follow a certain dress code when they joined the team for away matches.
