He overachieved in league and got us a big title in 1 of 2 years, underachieved in CL.

He was fired because there was a better option with better game style.
He was fired because they deemed the team had more potential than Xavi managed to get out of them and were proven right on it. On top of him not being mentally up to it and handling the press like an amateur. You see no successful coach going down the same path, and for good reason.

Never said anything bad about Xavi's playing career, but that's a separate topic as I don't see the relevance. As for his coaching stint, there are some positives too. As a legend and a figure that commands respect, Xavi galvanised the squad in the beginning and had a positive influence on the youngsters in the beginning, but was he the right choice over the length of his stint? Definitely not. And a true professional with relevant experience took the procedures (in my opinion, more important than results at this point) forward.

I don't think it's disrespectful to notice that.

He’s not giving interviews on the regular crying about Barca, while here you are pining on his managerial flaws (which we all know by now) while also simping for a coach (EV) who also underachieved and had a similar dreadful style outside of Messi individual skills. And EV as a player did fuck all for Barca

The theme is easy to see.
Themes are easy to see when you try your best to and make them up.

Their respective playing careers are completely irrelevant. I'm not out there writing hateful stuff about Xavi for it to matter. Valverde is a capable coach who has been proven time and time again, even if not best fit for Barcelona at that point.

I think Flick is quite insane. I wonder if he wouldn't have achieved the same kind of domination as Pep did when we had that stellar team in 2009 - 2011. He really seems the same caliber as Pep. Unreal.
I think only Guardiola can come up with Barca 2011

But Flick would destroy everyone with the 09 Barca that had a prime Eto’o, young and harder working start of prime Messi. And Henry to clean up behind those two.

And that midfield. Direct, incisive, attacking. Xavi put up 36 assists that season. Flick ball would have him over 40 assists, closing in on 50 lol

Doing an amazing job amidst the shitshow off the pitch.

Olmost and Pau as of today, can't play.

Well that's one way for Theebs to distract from the latest referee controversies.

They can.

La Liga withdrawing the club's salary cap margin doesn't have anything to do with their registration statuses currently.

It's all up to the court. We'll know in a few days as the deadline is approaching and Spanish media seem to suggest they will rule in our favour.

What this however does is making this summer a pain once again with the club possibly not being able to make any new signings or registrations.

Nothing of value was lost. Olmost is always injured and Bumsi rates tractor over Pau. Sad days.
