He was fired because they deemed the team had more potential than Xavi managed to get out of them and were proven right on it. On top of him not being mentally up to it and handling the press like an amateur. You see no successful coach going down the same path, and for good reason. He overachieved in league and got us a big title in 1 of 2 years, underachieved in CL.
He was fired because there was a better option with better game style.
Never said anything bad about Xavi's playing career, but that's a separate topic as I don't see the relevance. As for his coaching stint, there are some positives too. As a legend and a figure that commands respect, Xavi galvanised the squad in the beginning and had a positive influence on the youngsters in the beginning, but was he the right choice over the length of his stint? Definitely not. And a true professional with relevant experience took the procedures (in my opinion, more important than results at this point) forward.
I don't think it's disrespectful to notice that.
Themes are easy to see when you try your best to and make them up.He’s not giving interviews on the regular crying about Barca, while here you are pining on his managerial flaws (which we all know by now) while also simping for a coach (EV) who also underachieved and had a similar dreadful style outside of Messi individual skills. And EV as a player did fuck all for Barca
The theme is easy to see.
Their respective playing careers are completely irrelevant. I'm not out there writing hateful stuff about Xavi for it to matter. Valverde is a capable coach who has been proven time and time again, even if not best fit for Barcelona at that point.
