Don't care how players act at Madrid. This stuff was rarely seen at Barca.
Said earlier, think Flick was probably a bit too friendly with players.
I tend to agree. He's a great man-manager but I get the impression that Flick is getting too emotionally invested in these youngsters. When talking about the possibility of extending his Barca career, he dismissed it by emphasizing the need to spend time with family (grandkids etc). Given the age difference, he probably sees himself as a father figure to these youngsters. He's spoiled them way too much with the PDAs and his eagerness for post-match talks with them. It was about time they started acting petulant.
I would also highlight the degree of leeway he's afforded to Lamine. I dont remember the exact fixture but there was an instance in the match where he looked injured after a tackle and the coaching team had his sub prepared but Lamine did a "Kepa" signalling that he doesn't want to be subbed-out. And unlike Sarri, Flick & co happily obliged. And then the subsequent match, he wanted to be subbed out, and once again the coaching team happily obliged. At this point, he's deciding when and how he plays. No wonder he sulks so much when he doesn't get to be the dictator for the day. (There is an element of exaggeration but you. all. get. my. point.)
In short, our coaching team needs to stop being beta and show more authority against these 'gangstas'. Come summer, 2 of them should be shown the door.
