Honestly speaking if he had gone through the youth setup instead of jumping ship he'd have never been promoted to the first team if he was at his current level, so splashing big money on him makes no sense.

Of course he would have been promoted here.
This Bellerin is trash circle jerk you guys have managed to create really is getting out of hand.

Agree with that. Bellerin at his current level would be the best RB at the club.

As limited as he is in some areas folk are going way overboard on him now in my opinion.

Not trash, but his technical level really stands out, and not in a positive way either.

Watch the next Spain U21 game if possible.

He looks out of place in that team. Struggling to control the ball, make any decent forward passes that aren't overhit or too short.

He's fast as hell though, but that usually only comes to play when the other team is chasing the game in the last 30 mins or so.

Not to forget his comments previously about Barca....which can be forgiven, but this might turn out to be Cesc v2 and worse.

Arsenal definitely will demand a premium price too.

Well, we don't have a RB so sure he will.

Easily.
I'm not a fan of paying big money for him, though, and I suspect we could get equal quality from another league for less €, but as usual this forum has managed to paint a ridiculously lopsided picture of a pretty good player.

Will do. In the Arsenal matches I've watched he hasn't looked near as bad as you're describing him.

Better than Vidal who was bought to play RB, better than Roberto who Lucho tried to convert to RB and better than any RB in B team.

If I remember correctly we didn't want him to leave in the first place but he decided to accept Arsenal's offer. I remember him also saying he also left because we couldn't give him reassurances that in a couple of seasons he could be a starter over Alves.

I do wonder how things would have worked out if he had stayed but that's all in the past now I guess.

Dont think he said anything about asking for promises about ousting Alves.

Doesnt really matter what excuses he gave, he like almost all of the young players left for the money above anything else really.
