How to approach the rebuild

We can easily find replacements for Pique, Umtiti and Lenglet. Yes. Busy has to retire and we need to sell/loan MESSI, Coutinho, Griezmann and Dembele. Firpo, S.Roberto and Braitwaite has to be dealt also. Yes. That is a whole team of dead-woods, but we have to do it if we want to rebuild this team. Getting rid of Messi will benefit the process in many ways because right now we are very much dependent from his play.
How to approach the rebuild? Buy players that make sense at that time. Ferran Torres last year available for 23m and we let him go to man city. Thiago available to go after and we sleep. Sure these players might not be the very best and Thiago has struggled for Liverpool somewhat but they make sense for our squad and the league we are in. Imagine the depth with these two alone and it would have cost very little. Instead we have no depth in attack, of course we couldn't have seen Fati getting his awful injuries but relying on an 18 year old would be bad squad planning anyway.
Step 1: Hire a manager that has a strong personality, is willing to say things clearly and bluntly in the face of the players, and is a good tactician that makes tough decisions without hesitation
Step 2: Let Messi go so that you can actually recreate the team in whichever form the new manager wants
Step 3: Do not buy any world class player without the consent of the new manager
Step 4: Cooperate with the new manager and get the god damn players he is asking for

Hire a world class manager with a long term vision and back him.
Forget sexy football for now. Building a competitive team that can actually compete and not capitulate is paramount.
Build from the back. Get a great goal keeper and center back for starters.
Get a proper physical DM. No more passing pussies.
Get new medical staff. Current ones suck ass.

Good list of players. We are in need of huge change. Hopefully we can get rid of most of them.

A lot could be done. So many players should and could be sold, and just as many could be bought. It depends on who is going to leave, but for now, there are a number of players that must leave regardless and they are Neto, Umtiti, Firpo, Matheus Fernandes, Pjanic, and Braithwaite.

The mentioned free agents + 2-4 transfers (depending on how we want to handle our LB situation and maybe 1 midfield reinforcement) is all I ask for. Dont even need to be expensive signings. Would be a nice, lean squad.
Funny part will be to offload our deadweights, but I am sure we could get enough money for Trincao, Neto, Firpo and Braithwaite (who are probably our most valuable assets
) to finance a CB and maybe a cheap forward (like Daka or Moukoko). With Pique, Coutinho, Pjanic, Umtiti, Roberto and Griezmann its probably more about their salaries than actual fees. Would be happy if we got like 40ME net combined for them (given that we have to probably pay some of them off or terminate contracts).
Felix would be fun as well.
