Pretty sure the consensus was that we should sell him for 15ME+ or make an example of him otherwise. Pretty much the Club's stance on this. But whatever.

Most were not saying refuse to sell him at all costs but should reject the 5m and club get more or he is in the stands.

You seemed happy to sell for 5m as far as can remember. If sell for more than that the L would be one way.

Don't think I was ever against selling for more. My take was that we shouldn't act childishly with that whole 'let him rot in the stands for a year' theory. Money is money and the whole situation has played out before.

Clearly no one would want to sell for 5m and not want more. That makes no sense.

The point is if the club had accepted 5m but due to the stance of want more or sit in stands they will have been correct on it.

There is not a similar situation to this in past really and even if there was it would not be all that relevant anyway.

The club are correct to have that 'threat' to let players know in future it can happen in similar situations.

Who is this guy? Why are we talking so much about him? He didn't impressed at all when he played last year, if he is a snake, just let him go and fuck him, He'll never be a great player.

So the latest is Spurs offered 20m which was accepted but Ilaix only wants Leipzig who are offering 6m + the commissions for his agent and dad.

Well that's the spin MD are setting up before we inevitably sell him to Leipzig for a lacklustre fee.

Since the numbers talked about are the same, could we not have swapped with Sabitzer?

Apparently there were a few clubs in for Sabitzer but he only wanted Bayern. Not out the realms of possibility we were one of them with our need for a midfielder.

That Ilaix is one sneaky, perverse mofo. He wants top money, but at the same time, he's scared he's not good enough for Spurs and wants a lower-level league with not much pressure. :lol:

Any player who's trying to prove a point would prefer Tottenham over Leipzig. But hey, the league is very tough, and the competition is stiff.

All the La masia kids we lost for little to no money could have fetched us 100- 200m.

Cucurella 18m to brighton, Grimaldo, Adama Traore, Shitty Puig, Onana.

Instead we lost them for very little money.
